ISTR one of the Larry Niven 'Ringworld' Sci-Fi trilogy where the
childbearing permit went up in price exponentialy with successive progeny.

Most everyone could afford to have one child, but the second one cost
twice as much. Second kids became a sort of 'status symbol, thirds became
ostentatious displays of wealth.

As well as the child permit, one also had to post a major bond for
diapers, college, &c.

No, they've come to RFC.

Well long winded Dave is not American, I'm
guessing he's French Canadian, some of the
biggest blowhard cowards you've ever seen.

I don't think there was any specific mention of the pantry. It was
probably assumed food would always be available to buy and so far it
has been.

I think it is just another Julieism. I searched for something official
for Washington state and got nothing. Given Julie's record if
credibility issues, I am going to have to assume it was just more
Bothell BS.

They only don't smell to those who live with them and become desensitized

Me too for the most part, my wife is
partial to rum and coke so I'll have
one with her, but not diet coke.

Not me. I do love bacon but we much prefer it fresh, never frozen. So
it one of the things I never keep in the freezer.

I've got one in the freezer from last December. Love the
stuff buy often too lazy to cook it all at one time. :o

I did buy and cook a 1 pound chub of ground sausage the
other day. It was worth the effort. Still 2 patties left.

"Not really," said the kangaroo.

Even though I do love bacon, I normally only buy a package
1-3 times a year. Mostly in the summer for BLTs. I only buy
one as the mood hits me...never a supply kept in freezer.

My current package (in freezer), I got as a gift for Christmas.
I'm saving it for June-July to use with local tomatoes.

Every email they send you, has the option to never get such an email
from them again. Yes they collect and use information about you, but
there are also a lot of clueless users.

Green crap only in uppity RFC opinion. I happen to prefer
it as it's nothing but dried (and more concentrated taste)
with a little cellulose to prevent caking. That tree product
doesn't worry me.

I prefer it because I like the strong concentrated taste.
Your few shreds of fresh PR there would not affect the
taste of the dish at all. Nothing but a waste of good
cheese, imo.

My favorite: dried parmesan/romano...in the green lid
jars, not canned. Never seen it sold in cans, unless
you refer to the old paper cans.
