It wasn't so long ago he exercised twice as much.

What happens to the family dynamics when cousins divorce?

We have friends who married in their 50s. Both were divorced and both
had kids from their previous marriages. A year or two later his son and
her daughter got together and married. There is no blood relationship
between them but there is still that tricky issue of what happens if
they split up. They may no longer be husband and wife but they will
still be step siblings, and the parents will be torn by the conflict
between their child and their step child.

Why does anyone (women mostly) feel the need to wear scented things like
perfume and aftershave?

Is your *real* smell offensive? It so, just take a shower more often.

I am tempted to say good for her, but why on Earth would a reasonable
person negotiate such a huge settlement only to give it away? That
smells of vindictiveness.

Never the lass, the man has an obscene amount of money. Apparently
Amazon is a horrible place to work.

How about rating the offensiveness of various smells. Which would be the
worst to share an elevator with?

- someone with bad body odor
- someone with really bad breath
- someone smoking
- someone who has just power smoked a cigarette
- someone with a lot of perfume.

Now that she is not required to be some man's decoration and
housekeeper, most don't wear perfume. The last one I recall who lived
in this building stank of perfume. Even in the day it would have been
considered too much, perfume was supposed to be discreet. If she had
been on the elevator before me, I waited for the next one, it was too
overpowering. She is dead now.

No, good for her she got as much as she could!

Perfume - because of the effects.

How could you speak about a smelly elevator ride without farting?

That's just wrong on so many levels.

You got a free fish sandwich with a coupon.
You didn't like it.
You wished for a refund?

You got your refund.
Go away!

Onion rings and a burger. Oh yeah!

The first time I ate at A&W, I thought the onion rings were brilliant because they were an extruded product - the first I'd ever seen. These days, I prefer the real stuff. Congrats on your marriage. I can tell that life with you is a barrel of laughs.

Onion rings are about first on my list when I decide to deep fry at
home. I recently bought a new bottle of oil just for that.

My history of onion rings started with A&W drive-in. Onion rings and a
frosty mug of root beer. so very good

Homemade ones are the very best...always

The Burger King ones are a fail.

I send you "crickets" on this one because your ignorance isn't worth my

I live here and I was there. I know about my area.
Feel free to look it up yourself if you want to prove me wrong.

Yeah, it's all true. At least one of the original Nascar winners had
spent time in jail for running moonshine.

As for the other issue. Making moonshine requires lots of sugar and the
ATF certainly does audit businesses that buy large amounts, like donut
places.

It makes sense to me. I don't understand Joan's issue with it except
that she generally just doesn't like me much.

I welcome her to look it up herself and prove me wrong.

Those sausage patties were made from those pork steaks.

I eyeballed all the seasonings. The salt was about perfect. Way too skimpy on the sage, paprika and cayenne. Especially the cayenne.

Perhaps it could be that if he worked five years as a full time nurse in
a hospital that pays the going rate for RNs. Maybe even a little OT.
Ones that can use the computer and technical stuff like that.

Yeah, during winter, I always wear a t-shirt topped with a sweatshirt.
The sweatpants would be good but only for "at home" use so I doubt I'll
need pockets.

Hmm. I've been wearing sweatpants to work for two or three years.
(2020 and 2021 were a blur). It helps that we don't deal with
the public and have a very forgiving dress code.

The temperature here the past 5 days has been down in the single
digets, was 5ºF at 6AM and it's now 0º. Weather report calls for 8"
of the white stuff this evening... the skiiers will be happy.
