It's far easier for Joolie to get all butthurt and hostile about
something like this than to simply admit the error and apologi{s|z}e.

That's why.

It did, something like a year ago? I do NOT recall who was in on the
conversation. There were a fair number of posts and it was all silly.

Things have changed considerably since 1972 (as you'd expect).
Those destinations are a good choice in the sense of avoiding some of
the more negative changes, although as you mention, the temperatures
might not be nice in January...

I don't know about that. It looks to me like the best web-based
newsgroup site around. It does everything I need it to do. The main
problem with GG is that the mobile interface does not allow for quoting
- that's a serious problem.

I use the desktop interface on my Chromebooks and it works just spiffy.
I won't use it on my mobile device. My guess is that things will
progress as it has been and the death of the desktop computer and
desktop clients will mean the end of Usenet. This has nothing to do with
what you or I want things to turn out - it has to do with the evolution
of computers.

I never made it to Ayers Rock (or whatever it's now called) nor
Queensland and it's a pity that they will be too unpleasant. Perhaps Hobart.

My main problem with GG is that most people's GG posts look terrible
in normal news clients. Otherwise, I can see the advantage of a web
based Usenet interface if you use multiple devices.

It might be a problem with your news client. My Thunderbird displays it just fine. I can't tell how people are posting unless I choose the display original/source option. It looks even better with GG because it auto-trims the posts.

ummmm....no? The pot of hot water just "shot off the stove" while you
were
standing 3 feet away?

That's a awesome tale!

The kid that was living with us had a cup of water explode in his hand. I'm watching TV and I hear screaming and swearing coming from the room. My wife took him to the emergency room and he was hospitalized.

The good part about it is that his estranged mom visited him in the hospital and they made amends and he moved out of our house after staying for 4 years. Thanks, super-heated water in a cup! :)

Mostly it's a purely convection oven - it probably uses hot air moving
much faster than a standard convection oven. It's called an "air fryer"
because of marketing considerations. It's a pretty good name.

For more information on this, just order up a KFC Grilled chicken meal.
The chicken is cooked using this method and it's pretty tasty although
it doesn't present itself very well. That's the breaks.

Try dicing the bacon and frying it by itself until fully rendered. You can
then remove the meat which has now lost nearly all of the fat and add it to
the dish you are making. (You can save the fat and when enough is collected
form it into a brick and put it outside for the woodpeckers.)

What? How do you think I made it for the soup? That's exactly how. But
there were still fatty bits and I cut those off.

How does this taste made with cornstarch instead of
