He didn't mean to do any damage, and he didn't think he would. I'm
going keep beating this drum. Only part of what you hear about covid19 is
true, and that's by too little science, current hard to resolve
statistics leading to prognostication and serendipity. Nobody knows sh*t,
but they're working on it and making some progress every day. Opening
businesses in some U.S. States will open our eyes further, for better or
worse.

I don't wish corona virus on anybody, but why do Americans use
Republican states as guinea pigs by opening them first to see what
happens? Now lots of good ole God fearing Republicans are at risk!

I would prefer one lower infection State at a time, opened two weeks apart
at a time, but I ain't runnin' the joint. The Governors' are. So
we'll see.

I just read that the states that are opening up, don't test enough, so
they don't know what's going on. They're flying blind.

Two things will happen.

Some people will blame other people for infecting other people or themselves.

Some people will blame themselves for infecting other people. If you think everybody is going to get out of this mess clean, you're wrong.

What does test enough mean? Nobody knows. We'll see. I'd suggest using
MIL-STD-105D and use (state population) as the lot size. If you're
randomly picked, you get tested, but nobody listens to me.

We should have a Mr. Nobody running for president. His campaign slogan, "Nobody Listens to You!" sounds like a real winner. If you ask me, we should just act as if everybody is infected. That would simplify everything. Of course, nobody listens to me either.

What we're going to need is something quick and hopefully not dirty until these technologies are developed. The reality is that nuclear power is our cleanest and safest source at this time. The people that are afraid will completely ignore/forget/repress the fact that producing energy has always been a dangerous and dirty business. The proposed small modular reactors will be safer, cleaner, and more scalable, than any options available to us in the near future.

BS.

nukes take forever to build and forever to clean up when they
shit the bed.

can put up wind towers in a few years, same with solar.

use existing power lines and add some more here or there
to get better cross connections and distribution and it is
done without the risks of glow in the dark accidents or
poisoned land.

i'm not interested in self-serving excuses from the
older people who think they are not responsible for the
mess they've made even when the science has been clear
for many years.

that they cared so little for the future that they'd
screw their own children and the rest of their decendents
(if there are any) tells you all you need to know about
that generation. greedy, selfish and destructive.

the sooner you stop digging the sooner you get out of
a hole. by the time you build a nuke plant and find a
safe way to store the waste you could build a heck of a
lot more wind power or solar for less $.

it's already happened. wake up. the world has been
moving on. it would be much further along without
obstructionists and idiots but oh well, that's on them.

America has a goal of 100% renewable powered in 30 years My guess is that it's going to need some help by using nukes to meet that goal. You believe that we don't need them. Who's right? Me, of course.

Hawaii has a goal of 100% in 25 years. Perhaps we'll be able to reach that goal before most of all ya'alls because we're so far South. My guess is that within 10 years we'll have high capacity storage batteries that will revolutionize the structure of our power system. I'm betting that Hawaii won't need to go nuclear but the rest of the world might. I is already woke and knows what's happening. Quit being a snootyburd. You get the last word.

I can't buy a big package. No matter what I do with it or where I try to
hide it, it will be eaten all at once. There is no few days here. If I'm
lucky, I'll get the first shot at it. And then there was none...

Yes. And because I don't live alone, I am forced to buy small ones or it
will all be gone. Even with the small ones that could happen but at least I
can try to hide one or two. I have not cooked bacon for many years. I(
despise dealing with the grease. And I don't eat it often so pre-cooked is
fine for me.

I don't know that the grocery stores are using that term. The Governor said
people who are 65 and up should not leave their houses at all. Prior to
that, he said those over 60 should take more precautions. I am 60. Fred
Meyers and the bread store give discounts for 55 and up. I think I could get
a discount at Denny's. Not that I would eat there. In no way do I consider
myself to be elderly.

My Governor is attempting to control us. We are allowed to take boats out
but not go fishing. Does that make sense? No. He is also allowing government
workers to work for pay when civilian workers who do the same job are not
allowed to work. Such as mowing grass and pruning bushes, painting, roofing,
etc.

Lol...!!!

Julie, as per her usual, is lying...I'd yell, "LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!", but there are not enuf pants in the WHOLE world to replace Julie's burnt panties...from the way she natters on you'd think she lives in Murmansk or Yellowknife or the Marshall Islands or some other remote place...

A quick goog of Julie's city (pop. over 30,000, plus many thousands work in the city's hi - tech and other businesses) reveals a Safeway, a Fred Meyer, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Albertson's, many nice ethnic markets, and on and ON and ON...and at all price points...my town is over twice Bothell's size and has nowhere *near* Bothell's varied grocery shopping opportunities, she lives in a food shopping paradise - FACT!:

OK. First of all, if people over 65 can't leave the house for any
reason *and if they don't have a younger person to send on errands*,
then how the hell are seniors supposed to eat

Also, who the fuck is Dori Monson?
