I still have to work to have an income. But it's not the same as
working for da man.

My last three years were as much a social event as work. I went in at 7
and made tea. Then I'd sit with the office manager for about an hour.
Wednesday was bagels, Thursday breakfast sandwiches from McD, Friday
donuts.

There are many, probably most, jobs that I'd have been out the door on
my 66th birthday. I was fortunate.

Yes, she put back Forte Agent too.
Only thing still needs doing is my crossword puzzle site, still won't
let me print puzzles, but I emailed them and they sent instructions
for what needs doing... she will take care of it soon. I can do the
puzzles but she can't. I'm not a computer techy... she's thinking of
applying for a job at Geek Squad.

True, he's not got long but then again, my 17yo dog just passed a few
months ago among with a 14yo large dog. (simple old age).

He's had 3 different kibble types here and seems to enjoy the swap. No
digestive issues in his case with swapping.

I never even knew about it. ABC news, especially, does a
flu scare every single year. Just trying to generate news.
They also report "deadly storms" every single night. YAWN!

I've had the flu a few times. Rare but true. Some really put
me down. For all I know, I might have gotten that one
in 2009.

As I said, cold and flu season is EVERY winter and I always
do take precautions each year. The years that I did get it
was from some co-worker coming in sick as to not lose a day's
pay. Worked all day alongside them then I got sick a few
days later.

Luckily...no more of that nonsense here. :)

Every empirical study in epidemiology starts with a dog eating a wild
animal.

We've always had a year's supply, probably 2-3 years... same with
paper towels.

We have been laughing at my brother for years over his always having a
big enough stash of toilet paper to make through Armmegedon.

I went to my PO Box this morning and then to Tops Market for some
groceries wearing my full face Scuba mask and breathing through my
snorkel with a light days Kotex pad over the intake... I didn't want
anyone staring so I didn't wear my swim fins.

Rice is a dried grain. If you're worried about it "spoiling" store it
in the freezer.

If you're not careful, a mask leads to a lot of hand to face activity.

My only comparison was that we both were cooking pot pies.
Naturally a home-made or a deli one will be tastier than
a commercial frozen pie. Naturally anything that you cook
is vastly superior.

As for me, I cooked that Marie Calendar's one that others here
have recommended in the past. First time for me to try one.
It was very good, btw. They don't skimp on the meat.

Would you like to compare today's pooped out pot pies?
Should we compare the end results of fresh vs frozen?

I don't see why take out food should be a problem so long as the staff
are covid free and taking precautions. The main problem with
restaurants is the close quarters and close contact with large numbers
of people.

On a related note I was in a grocery store yesterday to get some fresh
fruit and vegetables. I noted that the woman who was stocking the
cucumbers was wearing gloves. Then I happened to notice her cought
into her gloved hand and continue handling the produce.
