Probably made in China now. Cheap Chinese pianos. :)

The Steinway factory is still in Queens, NY, and now there's another
in Germany. The least expenswive Steinway piano sells for over
$50,000.

Garish, not everyone stuffs their pockets with salt and pepper packets
swiped from The Golden Arches. It's very easy to spend $200 at
Penzeys, not a very large carton arrives... most of their spices are
in mylar like zip-locs, flattened $200 worth fills a carton pretty
much the size of a shoe box. Now you've convinced me that you never
bought anything from Penzeys... from reading what you eat I'm positive
that I'm 100% correct that your spice cabinet is a brown paper bag
filled with swiped fast food packets... probably all your ketchup,
musturd, mayo, pickle relish, and salad dressings too... I'll bet that
you've never bought any spices anywhere, I'm sure you fill out your
stash from the Chinky take out; soy sauce, duck sauce, mustard, and
teabags... with your stash of fortune cookies you never need to buy
chips. How many grated cheese jars have you glommed from Pizza Hut?
hehehe

Popeye, maybe they are "out and proud" gays. Not all homos stay in

My SWAG for dinner Sunday night.

Butter and OO, melt in a skillet
Sliced onion; sautee a few minutes
Sliced potatoes; add to above, cook some more, to a little brown at edges
Chopped garlic; add to above, cook briefly until fragrant
Dry white wine, cannellini beans, and a healthy dose of thyme: add to above, let wine cook down a bit and flavors meld
Cod filet, cut crosswise into thick pieces; add to pan, cover, steam until cooked through
Splash of lemon juice and S&P to finish.

I don't know what to call it (suggestion, anyone?), but it was simple and tasty.

My mother used to occasionally cook things with a can of cream of
mushroom soup, usually pork chops. I didn't mind it until one day we
visited my mother's uncle's farm and I watched him slopping the pigs.
That pig slop turned me right off mushroom soup recipes. It also
diminished my interest in eating the soup. Years later I worked in a
camp where the cook made excellent soups and the day he did cream of
mushroom soup I was amazed that it could taste so good.

My interest in mushrooms comes and goes. They were never a favourite
when I was young. For a number of years I really enjoyed sauteed
mushrooms with a steak and they were an essential component of a
skewered grilled vegetables. Over the last year or so my interest in
them has dropped right off. My wife gets them occasionally and serves
them to me, but I never buy them or cook them myself. I can't say that I
don't like them. I'm just not interested in them.

Fascinating, no really.

That is a premium meal here.

Why did the pig thing ruin your love of mushrooms or soup?

I do like that. Steak with mushrooms and onions on top
or on the side.

A premium meal here is one made from scratch, from quality ingredients.
They don't have to be expensive ingredients.

Not from some oversalted glop in a can.

And when I say oversalted, that's saying something.

Some people have serious hangups about their bodies and their sexuality,
and sex in general. I had a school mate whose mother was the
kindergarten teacher at our school and he was very proud to let us know
that his mother was a virgin. He had an older brother and sister. There
was guy in my class, not the brightest bulb on the tree, who was
incensed over have seen one of the girls in our grade 8 class in the
drugstore buying sanitary napkins. He was absolutely outraged and
thought her mother was sick in the head to allow her to do that.

Having belonged to a number of gyms over the years and having worked in
places with group showers I am kind of used to baring all in front of
other people to have a shower. Most gyms now also have at least one
private shower area. I realize there are people who may have body
situations that they are embarrassed about , but I have to admit that I
find it a little creepy that some people are so extremely shy about
their bodies. ... like guys who wear a bathing suit into a public shower
and then cover up with a towel to remove it. I just have to wonder what
sorts of dirty thoughts they are hiding.

I will guess that her name was Mary.

I had to do that in high school and never liked it. 40 guys
walking around naked in the locker room and standing in one large
shower room. Too weird for me.

If only they had let me use the girl's locker room.

Well I hope you don't have to wait another two weeks to go to the
grocery store. Maybe the gardener can get it for you.

Hmmm... he made changes again yesterday, but you weren't able to find a

If they were press conferences they would have been covered by the press

Not to worry if you were my neighbour Julie. You would never see me. I
would run and hide any time you so much as glanced in my direction.

The latest news is (from Inslee, 4/27) you can now go golfing and
fishing starting May 5. Parks are opening.

It's a shame that kids don't learn to party less hearty. Unfortunately,
these types of parties tend to get out of hand. There is a lot of binge
drinking, which usually leads to fighting and drunk driving problems.
The noise level soars and disturbs the locals. The neighbours also
dislike the drunks pissing on their property. And then there is the mess
the leave behind.

No harm. The police only come after neighbors complain. At that
point, they do have to respond. A party out there is not legal so
they make a showing, make all leave but never an arrest or ticket
for it. All the policemen probably partied out there when they
were younger too. :)
