Who property rehabs tile roofs? Hardly any roofers I have found. Roofers like a maybe strip off too many layers of asphalt shingles or cheaper less just nail up one MORE layer on top! Roofers like to strip the old shingles off so they can a look at the sheathing to see if any of it needs to be replaced. Then they lay a layer of snow and ice guard. It also reduces the weight borne by the roof. It takes very little time and work to strip the old shingles. The big cost there is disposal. |
