OTOH I heard her once say that there was nothing wrong with a good
hamburger. She certainly wasn't snobbish!

I must admit that I do like French fries with my hamburgers. :)

I'm not sure how you decided that! We were here in 1967 and Julia's
programmes came not very long after that.

When I shop early, very few cars in the lot. Maybe 20 customers
at most in the store. Never a checkout line except maybe one
ahead of me occasionally.

I did shop once around 1pm and it was very crowded. That's when
all the lazy sleepy people finally get out and go.

Yep, you can find them. She wasn't always having a second host (Gary
may be thinking about her later shows with Jacques Pepin). The early
shows are sometimes aired on weekends on PBS. Cooking all by herself.

Speaking of old movies and watching often...
Ever see "Second Hand Lions?"
I love that movie. So funny in most parts.

Each time it's aired, I always watch all or at part of it.
Stars Michael Caine and Robert DuVall.

Well hey, sorry your doctor tried to give you that. My point was, Bruce
is quick to ASSume people in the US drink a lot of sugary stuff. He
really has no idea. How come everyone bucks him up as if he actually
knows what he's talking about? He's never been to NA.

You shouldn't always take me so seriously. All I know is that tea is
sweet and big in the US and that you get unlimited refills of soft
drinks. Oh and that prefab products for the US market always have
extra sugar added.

If you look at the sugar content in juices, pop etc. it's extremely
high. Mostly the reason I don't drink pop, although I find I do like
some now that they can be obtained 'without sugar' - I hope they are
getting good sales with them.

That's interesting. I almost bought almond butter once for twice
the price.

How much of your massive fortune have you sent your baby's mama for
raising your child for almost 20+ years? Or do your outstanding
humanitarian ethics only extend towards foreign nationals who pay
you $300/month?

Rhetorical question.

It never even occurred to you while your sister gives 1/3rd of your
inheritance to your brother's fatherless kids, "being the practical
and reasonable sister she is".

Yet you have the nerve to whine and bitch here because your son
didn't call you back on Father's Day.

You are the definition of self-centered human garbage. Go get up on
your roof and do yourself with that Uzi - which will save your son
$100K on the roof.

I don't know. She made some vegan lemon bars i.e., no eggs or butter. Why vegan? Beats me.

I plan to make some Thai cashew chicken tonight. Well, that's for starters, anyway. Perhaps I'll stick it on some crispy Chinese noodles. Oh yeah.

Idiot. I took music lessons for years and can read music. Know
music theory too but the bottom line of creating your own music
is to learn with or without instructions. Learn to play what your
mind imagines.

That very first paragraph that you wrote at the top of this
message was the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. You sir are
no musician other than maybe reading music that others created.

He's so embarrassing :) He's consistently trailing behind Biden in the
polls, but I don't trust those deplorables. They did it once before!

Nope, no sweater, no long pants. :) Windows open, just ceiling fans to
keep the air circulating. When the sun shifts I'll go sit outside and
read for a while. There's a nice breeze.

I've got a pot of broccoli cheese soup simmering on the stove. :)

Well said and very true, Sheldon. Actually paint should never
be applied to a deck surface. Better to use either a clear
sealer or a semi-transparent colored stain. Solid stain isn't
so good but is still better than paint.
