Worcestershire is one of the things we don't like and never buy any... for a bloodymary I much prefer soy sauce... and I typically make mine with V8 and/or Clamato... and a little Melindas for heat. https://melindas.com/ Their web site lies, well obviously they are now in Texass. Originally Melindas was made by a real person named Melinda in Belize. A bottle of Melindas is found on every table in Belize, ketchup is difficult to find. The original Melindas hot sauce is not very hot, but over the years they added all those exotics of extreme heat. |

Just cheap brown gravy. If cheap brown gravy is the taste you're looking for, then it's exactly right. There's a restaurant somewhere in the Pacific Northwest (vague, I know) that I saw on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It's pub food, and it's run by an authentic Brit. They make everything from scratch except the brown gravy. They tried making it from scratch, but it just didn't taste right. The mix tastes more authentic to the pub food they grew up with. For the record, unlike McBiddy I do not live in a 'senior condo' whatever that is (unless you count some of the teens in this building as seniors) it is not a gated community either. I haven't played bridge since Covid restrictions began, could play online but it's the humans I enjoy. The rules for NS were laid down to cope with Covid and have been very successful and most people have obeyed them, if only for the benefit of others. There have been 53 deaths in a downtown nursing home but otherwise, only 5 in the rest of the province. They are easing up now and the first stores, and restaurants that can cope with distancing, have opened with the understanding that could end at a moments notice. So yes, I am meeting my eldest later when we go for a pedicure, followed by lunch. I'm afraid I have no desire to live in a house in a gated community (there aren't any in NS anyway) - the isolated living really was tough for me, I like other humans and enjoy being around them ! |

I don't know of too many companies that pay > all of its' employees health insurance. My old company did. At first they paid half and I paid the other half. One day, I asked for a raise and rather than an hourly raise, I asked them to pay the other half of my insurance. Boss said: "What are you going to do if you don't get it?" Me (nervously): "I'll just have to look for a better job." Boss: "I'll talk this over with my partner." Next day he said, "You got your raise." (whew!) That supplemental plan gives peace |

Yeah...cat fight. Have you ever heard two real cats, late at night outside, getting ready to fight? Very creepy sounds as they stand there yelling at each other before the battle begins. |

Promotes a healthier human race. |
| Bruce <bruce@null.null>: Jun 09 09:42PM +1000 >This corona virus is the 100-year Earth's purge of the old, >the weak, the difficult, and the stupid. Promotes a healthier >human race. The people who join the demonstrations and catch the virus may be stupid, but they then spread that virus to their relatives, partners and the rest of society. Who did not join. Especially outside of the US it's virtue signaling. "Look at what a good person I am. I'm upset by the death of someone I don't know at the other side of the world!" |

The George Floyd thing is definitely a personal tradegy to his family but the world-wide reaction is nutty, imo. |

Yes, it works great, but like you say, it doesn't show lots of things, like mags, also mail from other countries. |

I save them until I actually check the mail, just to make sure I got what was supposed to be delivered. My snail mail comes late. I usually check the box the next morning. |

Adults dressed in costumes and their "cars" decorated very creatively. Like watching cartoons using real people. The course has obstacles along the way that often destroy the soapbox cars. Do an image search for "Red Bull soapbox race" It's often shown on my one cable tv channel late at night (actually, early morning). Their races are held in many countries. |
