This is a pie with a fried crust. I use a pan with a raised edges for those. This one has pineapple on it. Pineapple is the greatest advancement in pizza making in the last 40 years.

I fully acknowledge that to be the case. That's only natural in this connected world. I'm not going to worry about the natural progression of things. OTOH, we really need a way to keep those pesky tourists out of here.

Most newly found cases in Australia also come from foreigners coming
in. I hope they make them quarantine at least.

On to new everything. I do like the pan idea unless you guys gals suggest other.

2 tsp in water 95 deg, one tsp sugar, 20 minutes, nothing. Looks like clear mud. No bubble action.

Thanks for the guidance.

I always make more pizza dough than I need and do something else with the excess. I usually simply bake a small loaf of uninteresting bread with the mid-range doughs but have discovered that the really goopy doughs make great English muffins the next day.

I never did understand how a can of beer up a chicken's ass was supposed
to work. There may be something about steam, but ..... beer flavour? I
don't usually even drink beer with chicken so I don't know how it would
improve the flavour. I think that an empty beer can filled with water
would do just as well.

How about a 12 ounce can of lemonade? I'd hate to waste a Budweiser on a
cooking experiment.

Drink the Bud, fill the can with water and use that.

A small plate. Two crab cakes, a couple of spoonfuls of Margaret Holmes
turnip greens and (hi Joan!) some Knorr/Lipton brand Fettucini Parmesan
with Spinach (teeny tiny amount of dried spinach) as a side dish.

That's quite enough to fill me up. :)

BTW, the Knorr/Lipton noodles were only so-so. I added a little more
grated parm and some dried herbs but the pasta was still very bland.
Won't be buying it again.

Slightly edited, as you'll see. There's a bit more information later, in the short thread.

(And, while it's not really relevant, the Reddit thread is titled "AITA for telling my neighbors to get a bigger yard if they want their kids to have somewhere to play?")

More stupidity on reddit
June 19, 2020

"Did anybody see the post on reddit (AITA, I think) where the woman's neighbor got pissed off that she wouldn't let the neighbor's kids use her pool 'because they're bored' during quarantine? When she got told no, she posted on facebook about how some people don't understand that raising kids 'takes a village.' Sure, raising kids takes a village when the breeders decide it does. Suggest that their brats need to behave and all of a sudden the village needs to stfu and realize how haaard it is to raise kids and only mommy and daddy know what the brat needs.

"Case in point: I know someone who belongs to a group that has social events a couple of times a year. A few years ago they had one where one of the members was helping prepare food. While doing so, she was letting her kid (he's maybe nine or ten?) play in the food. Like seriously play in it. He was squishing food in his hands and letting it fall back into the bowls. One of their guests from out of town stepped over and told him he shouldn't do that because people were going to be eating it. Moo, WHO'S STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO HIM LETTING HIM DO THIS, 'thanked' the woman and said if there were any problems with Bratson, she could direct them to her, because she's his mom. Think this was the end of it? Of course not. Moo went full Karen on the event organizer later because someone DARED to correct her child. She was ------- LIVID.

"So yeah, just another instance where breeders can ---- themselves with 'it takes a village.' Parent your ------- --------- or don't have them, ugh."

(end)

Ain't that the truth! I bet none would have shown up to do pool cleaning
or buying any of those expensive pool chemicals to keep the pool fit to
swim in.

While that works, as you get older it gets more difficult. I eat much
less than I did 10 years and especially 20 years ago but weigh 20 pounds
more. had crept to 25. Portions of the goodies have been cut too but
still tough to get rid of more. Harder to be as active too.

On the plus side, skinny elderly people look scary. Take Mick Jagger.
