Really?? Hit and runs in Aus are less common, I don't really know the
percentage but I would guess like 5% here.

Yes. Called a pickup in the rest of the English speaking world, I
guess?

I think my car is becoming a collector's item. I mean, I've collected
it.

Kraft Cool Whip Whipped Topping
Water, Corn Syrup, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Hydrogenated Vegetable
Oil (Coconut And Palm Kernel Oils), Skim Milk, Contains Less Than 2%
Of Light Cream, Sodium Caseinate (From Milk), Natural And Artificial
Flavor, Xanthan And Guar Gums, Modified Food Starch, Polysorbate 60,
Sorbitan Monostearate, Sodium Polyphosphate, , Beta Carotene (Color).

I guess there's a reason why they don't call it whipped cream. Whipped
science project is more like it. Amazing that people eat this.

Thank you so very much. I have been looking for this exact recipe. I grew up on it and loved its perfection. I so appreciate it.

This type is common in Australia, in a few sizes:

The fire and the smoke are behind glass, except when you have to open
the door, of course.

What about a pancake with bacon?

It's the only time I eat -I never know what y'all call it- golden
syrup/molasses/treacle.

I remember a documentary on Dutch TV about the US, many years ago. A
man had an accident and cut off 4 fingers. He went to the hospital,
with his fingers. They asked him about his financial situation. Then
the doctor said: You can afford to have 2 fingers put back on. Which
ones would you prefer?

lol, really

Yes, in the end, selfishness is the problem. Americans are too selfish
to think in terms of a common good. Because there's always the chance
that the neighbour benefits more from it than you. Oh, the horror!

My dad would get a few buck to spend as he wished. It's an old-school Asian arrangement. My guess is that some European cultures did that too. These days, in America, anything goes and the family paycheck gets blown all over the damn place.

I take care of the bills and each of us gets an allowance. It's not about
culture; it's pure pragmatism. I think his father handled the bills in
his family.
