Actually wooden gutters would have been more esthetically pleasing on that style/age house... and of the right wood could last 100s of years... years ago gutters and down spouts were made of the same oak used for sailing ships and wine barrels. |

I knew that but gave it a try anyway. Knock yourself out. Interesting how you are spending a fortune to do your roof "right," yet you are fine half-assing your interior work. oh well |

In all seriousness, he's sitting on a gold mine. Contact the right people and start a new reality show. I suspect he would get paid very well for "The Daily Adventures of John Kuthe." I would watch it. ;) |

How about: Garlicholics Anonymous Adreno Reno Bipole Moments The theme of the show starts out with the music him and Bryan made together when they were friends, played out at full volume on all that audio equipment in his basement. (This section could be recorded once and re-played each episode.) Next, we have current events. If there's any news about the environment, crow about being a vegetarian. Don't forget to emphasize the importance of using electricity no matter how it is being generated. Next, we have the cooking section, where he shows how to make his signature garlic potatoes. (This section could be recorded once and re- played each episode.) Next, we do the job search on the Internet using obsolete computers. Next, we check out anything new around the house regarding paid construction work, home repair, and renovation. Be sure to either mention how this helps with renewing his 'occupancy permit' or if it is expensive. Next, the silly section where he shows boring things around the house for no apparent reason, like a puddle in the driveway because it just rained, etc. Finish with the same music, but at a lower volume. Perhaps find a tune not played during the opening. For video, use a timed montage of stills he has posted over the years, i.e. scratched fenders, church roof ornament, etc. |

The city of Toronto expanded its bike lane program for the pandemic. It is going to be reviewed at some point. It is a great idea for the summer but Toronto's climate is not conducive to year round cycling. It isn't a lot of fun bicycling in the snow. |

Get a snow bike then. NOT the motorized ones, but the pedalized ones with really wide tires. (8") Note: If you do a web search for "Snow Bike", you will instead get pictures of the ones with motors that look a lot like a dirt motorbike but with a fat back wheel & ski at front. Some even replace the tire with a tread. I suspect though, that one would need to adjust the 'standard' method used with a normal snowmobile to cross ice that is not thick enough to support the weight of the snowmobile plus operator. |

Buying chard already harvesteed is not nearly so good as freshly harvested. Most produce departments don't sell shard as once harvested has a very short shelf life. Chard is botanically the same plant as beets... beets are grown for their bulbous root, chard produces more/better leaves but no bulbous root. Chard is very close in taste and texture to spinach but is far easier to grow and not full of sand like spinach. Like spinach chard is very good eaten raw in salads, just snip off the thick stems as they can be tough and fiberous. |

Only other choice would be a pasteurized whole lobster in the shell. Never heard of that but it could be true. I can buy cooked, picked, and pasteurized crab here in season. If the store cooked it for him, that's a live lobster that he asked to be cooked. Or it could have come frozen and he saw it in the seafood showcase, now thawed and on ice to simulate fresh. They do that with shrimp here. I'm hoping for a straight answer this time and no more games. |
