It's generally a safe bet that anything cross posted is going to be
something stupid. Some poor saps are desperate for attention.

You must live in a very retarded country if a murder is registered as
a covid death.

You know what stinks? Trump logic:
"The only reason we have so many cases, is that we test the most in
the world [which isn't true]. We should stop testing so much! We're
only making matters worse!"

Well, that's your problem. Never take medical advice from someone
who majored in journalism. That's what Julie Bove does.

You have the resources to go straight to the source: health
department, CDC, etc.

That's where I fit. I have trouble breathing with a mask and I am not
sure of the need if I am socially distancing myself. I am not on an
anti mask rant and I will wear one for the benefit of others, plus they
are now required by a law.... one with many exemptions and which expects
businesses to enforce. It does bother me to see people with masks down
below their nose and mouth, and it pisses me off when people with masks
invade my social distance, like the other day when I was at the chicken
bunker in the grocery store and some masked person reached right in
front of me.

I had to chuckle at the leash free dog park yesterday, We were on the
big dog side and there was a guy on the small dog side. It was just him
and his dog, and he was wearing a mask. His wife was out by the car and
when we headed for our car she went back to hers and put on a mask.
While she was putting her mask on he was on the way out of the fenced
area and pulled his mask down. It seemed to odd that he would have it on
when he was in there by himself but them take it off when he got closer
to other people.

There's some indication now that the virus can be spread by smaller
aerosols, which travel farther (and remain in the air longer) than the
droplets that the social distancing requirements are intended to combat.

We learn as we go.

Agreed. A woman who co-owns the Exxon station nearby had been wearing
one of those masks with a ventilator hole. The last time I went in she
was wearing a regular mask, no ventilator hole. Good! They've got big
plexiglass shields up between the counter and the cash registers now,
too. Since March they've had the floor taped off so everyone stands at
least 6 feet apart.

We water ours when it hasn't rained for a few days depending on the
soil moisture . I pick them when they're more ripe than those . Straight
from the vine to the table , if we can't eat them today or tomorrow I
freeze them for use in spaghetti sauce or soups . I'd rather can them
but it's not worth the effort for 2 or 3 quarts .

I leave the watering up to Mother Gaia. She's been doing this for longer than you have been alive!

Exactly. That is what happens to tomatoes here. This is tomato season
and the weather tends to be hot and sunny and growth is steady. If you
get a lot of sudden growth the tomatoes grow so fast the skin pops near
the top. The same thing happens to cherries.

She doesn't care of the tomatoes are palatable. Only that their seeds spread
and germinate.

In fact, Mother Gaia's tomatoes are about the size of raisins. It took
evil humans to breed them up to the size you are growing.

Right on.

I regularly pickle jalepeno slices (love 'em on pizza). Then once some of them get eaten, I add things like carrot slices or cauliflower chunks to the jar.

I just made a batch of zucchini spears, using white vinegar (I *like* the bite) and adding dill (fresh from the herb garden!), black peppercorns and a bit of the liquid from the jalepenos' jar. Should be killers.

This time of year is "What the hell do I do with all these zucchinis?"

You're right about the flavor of Heinz and Hunts, though. I'm
