That's great news for Buffy. She'll finally get to sleep on the
forbidden kitchen counters 4 days a week until she hears you come home.

I can always close the kitchen door when I leave. Really, she has no
interest in the kitchen. She's not fed there and I never give her
people food so to her it's a boring room. No comfy sofa or chairs to
snooze on, just uninviting hard surfaces. Plus all her toys are in the
living room. :)

Who cares? Its just another troll. Some of us have no idea who
Crossley is. Just another meaningless name.

If *everyone* would get a real newsreader that can filter out posts from
forgers a lot of this confusion could be avoided.

Bryan and I taught Mr Gormley (a Business teacher at Lindbergh High School) how to teach Freshman High School English!

You rented a room in the same house you own now from the cheap Chinese
landlord.

In hindsight, you could have kept renting and let him pay for all the
repairs AND let him worry about renting out the other rooms. If that,
your inheritance would have lasted you the rest of your life with plenty
leftover to play with.

At least you can sell it if you ever can't maintain it.

Mr. Gormley was apparently a worse student than you.

I have the cheap version of those beds. I use 6-7 pillows to simulate
the raising bed. I like to lay and sleep on my left side with head and
upper body elevated up a bit.

Have done that all my life and so far I don't walk crooked. ;)

Don't know about your microwave but my turntable is removeable for
cleaning and you don't have to put it back in. The rotating part is way
below the surface level.

Gives me a choice of rotating or not.

Bruce, are you saying that your normal tables are only about 2' high?
Are you a pair of "little people?"

That was funny. I have a good memory but I sure don't remember the house
or kitchen from when I was 2 1/2 or younger. ;)

Even a very small house should have seemed much larger to a toddler.

Had the same sink in the last house. Never really liked it but lived
with it for 37 years. It was time for a total kitchen remodel but we
moved instead.

Sure, but you get uneven heating. The ones that do not rotate have a
spinning paddle under the floor to bounce the waves around for more even
cooking.

If it is something you can stir, not a big deal, but if you stir a dish
of reheated lasagna it does not make for good presentation.

I don't think I remember the kitchen in that house from the time I lived
there. As I explained, it was a semi detached house and my aunt and
uncle had the one next door. They were mirrors images of each other. We
used to visit frequently. My aunt died in her 40s and my uncle lived
there until he was in his 70s.

I've been there and done that so I do "feel your pain."
And sadly, whatever pounds you might have lost will come right back so
that week of denying yourself food was for nothing.

Don't give up though. Just try again when you get inspired.

You *do* have to add more exercise when dieting. It's a lifestyle change
and not just starving yourself. Get a few books on dieting and exercise.
Read them and get inspired plus learn the good way to diet.

On the lighter side, to give up and end your diet by bingeing at
McDonald's is truly a good way to go out. "Screw this starving crap. I'm
going to McDonald's, dammit!" LOL!

Take a good laxative and it will even out in the morning.

I do THC and a laxative just for shits and giggles.

if it took you a long time to get that heavy then
it is ok to take time to get back to where you want.

mainly my recommendations are to eat more fiber and
vegetables, especially for the last meal of the day so
you don't feel as hungry.

a long battle isn't lost in a single engagement, keep
at it. the long view and persistence is where it sets
the trend. mainly what you want is a whole habit change
in how you eat so you don't get back up too far above
your goal weight before you catch it and get it back
under control again.

Yes. Stay home is the best solution. Coldest weather here in the past 50
years was a couple of times when low was 5F and high 15f. Brutal enough
for me although I did like hiking in my half swamp state park.

When it was that cold, all the swamp water was frozen and I could walk
right over the water to see what I'd never seen before.

Also ice skating on small lakes here.

Not been that cold for many, many years though.
