On a related note.... My wife occasionally does a glazed peameal. Being
a brined pork loin, peameal is as salty as corned beef. He simmers it
for an hour or so in apple juice. That sucks out a lot of the salt....
or maybe just adds the sweetness to balance it. Then it is glazed and
baked.

I see the temptation to suggest such a plan, but that is still
disconcerting.

Fair enough. If/when this happens, I still predict that the now smarter
robots will take over.

Golly, I'm glad that I don't live in Chicago!! Any urban/metropolitan
area, for that matter.

I'd be happy with any snow blower. Hand shoveling 10 inches of snow
from most of my street for my disfunctional city wasn't pleasant, to say
the least.

I'm a bit jealous, I must admit.

That Lori Lightfoot... wow. What a piece of work she is. Did you ever
come across the time she got caught posting false reviews?

How on earth did she ever become mayor?

Is it true that jabbing them with a fork helps to cook them more
quickly? Something about being able to heat to the center faster/steam/etc.

Out here in the "Sagebrush State", deer taste like sagebrush. Sagebrush
does "not" taste like sage.

Every single time, he's failed. I rarely even bother replying to him
anymore. There's not much point when he thinks it's all about being on
one side or the other.

It is gobsmacking, and Graham *was* intelligent enough to earn an engineering degree...

Very true, he won't bother to read the link I shared... and it IS from a LIBERAL source, lol...

Lots of garlic, sauteed to golden brown. Shrimp can handle a lot of it.

There is no such thing as too much garlic.

Another thing I could do is try to make the traditional (and rather
dull) Lowcountry dish of Shrimp & Grits a bit more interesting. The
couple of times I had it in restaurants it was dull. Needs more spices
and not bleached out white grits. So I'll think about that, too. :)

You're welcome. ;) I have frozen mussels in garlic butter sauce in the
freezer. They'll be part of a a different pasta meal another time.

I rarely bother with butter. A bit of syrup will suffice. I tire of
pancakes very quickly; too dense and heavy.

Yup, it's actually sad to see...

I know many nurses who struggled like hell to finally get their credentials, good jobs, and
then onto a very nice life... many of them immigrants who came here with nothing, they did not have
the advantages in life that John had, including that once - big inheritance...

John OTOH threw it all away, he's really a waste of oxygen...

Really, they take away the "shut down computer option"?

I would bet that they are. That being said, it's also a buggy mess like
Cindy said. You couldn't pay me to use Windows 10, I'd sooner learn Linux.
