There are lots of chicken farms around here and I am familiar with the
way they operate. There is no "torture" and no cages. The hatchlings
are released into freshly cleaned barns and have free access to feed and
water. They spend their short lives eating, growing and sleeping.

I believe that, of course, but why does it only happen to you?

That would be one step better than buying factory chickens. Same with
eggs.

Thanks, I didn't know that.

Shit happens.

So we had a discussion on refrigerating salads
yesterday.

Cover a green salad bowl with saran wrap. One side
says, keep it until it becomes odoriferous. Other
says to toss it after 3 days, no matter what, for health reasons.

Opinions?

Romaines to be seen.

It depends on the salad. Just vegetables? Probably safe until
they rot. I don't see a difference between refrigerating a salad
and refrigerating its constituents ingredients.

That said, I make a salad every day. I don't see the point in
making a salad just to store it.

Dude, a hundred years ago people used to attend
public hangings, and even bring their kids.

Apples and oranges, Gary. You're lumping generic
death in with the death of a hated personal enemy.

But IME, their own house is a tip-heap.

The Commodore 64 was discontinued in 1994. They were the same vintage as
my first computer, a COCO II, and what a piece of crap that thing was.
By 1988 I had an IBM XT. I was the envy of my computer geek friends
because I not only had a hard drive, but a big one... 20 Megabytes.

I watched an old version of "Ocean's 11" the other night starring Frank
Sinatra and the "rat pack." Very boring.

The remake - George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts was so much better.

Then came the sequels -
- Ocean's 12 - blah
- Ocean's 13 - just a bit better
- Ocean's 8 - starring Sandra Bullock as Danny's daughter was
a pretty good one.

Oh well.
