>The people my wife takes care of are a danger to society and themselves. Most of them landed in the psych hospital for 2 reasons: head injury and drug use. OTOH, head injury can also manifest itself as gifts from heaven such as enhanced musical and artistic abilities. My understanding is that Cass Elliot was instantly able to sing like a songbird after whacking her head on a hard surface. Getting knocked out and losing contentiousness greatly improves your

well in my case it raised my IQ about 24 points, granted that is not a
huge amount, but it is the difference between your average everyday
person IQ of 100 and a severely mentally impaired person with an IQ of
76.

So the difference is to me the average person is mentally impaired.
Yes that sounds like a bit of a push, but that is how it is. Could you
imagine walking around and every average person you met was retarded?
That is what it is like for me, except the problem with me is because
of my head injury my word filter is broken. I have a very hard time
filtering what I say.

With that said, when someone insults me or my intelligence it is
usually because that person (when compared to me) is literally
retarded.

I will immediately say the first thing that is on my mind and it
usually is mean and curt. But it is actually no different than what
the other people in this NG has thrown at me at one time or another.
Except when I do it is frowned on, mainly because I am much better at
it, and 99.99% of the time I am correct in what I am
saying/explaining.

Now saw what you will, but I have the paperwork to back it up. I have
been going to doctors and different out patient rehabs (physical,
occupational, speech, psych) for the better part of 20 years. I have
taken various tests at my psychological Dr's to become eligible for
different governmental services. I have taken the IQ test at the Dr
office and at universities, I have taken tests to test my physical
abilities and coordination.

So let me ask everyone of you. What would life be like for you if the
average IQ was 24 points below yours?

By the way, you wouldn't always say it, but the average IQ in RFC is
probably quite a bit higher than the national averages. Not only can
we all read, we're also all able to and inclined to communicate in
writing. That makes us part of the 10% or 20% elite. RFC as the elite.
Scary idea, no?

Same here...asking an average person to use a dedicated newsreader makes about as much sense as asking them to wear high - button shoes and celluloid collars, heat with coal stoves, use flypaper in lieu of window screens and inquire "Why don't you drive a Studebaker...!!!???"

Usenet is in its death throes, when we here all croak it will be but a distant memory (which it pretty much already is)...

>Anyone here play online poker? I do. I play micro limit so my profits aren't that great, but I used to make a small profit. How? By grinding it out. Playing very few hands and playing only premium starting hands. I'm talking Texas Hold-Em poker. It's a very boring way to play, and even though I make a few shekels here and there, it's not very satisfying. You? I started to play looser, but now I'm losing. It is however more fun to play loose. Playing tight and winning is more of a drag than paying loose and losing.

yes I play quite often on poker stars. That is actually the best I
have found. Although in the USA you can not play for money on poker
stars (real money I mean.)

I have actually been as high as over a billion dollars

Dude I wasted all of my time reading this post hoping there would be a
good plot point or otherwise a reason for the post and for reading it.
Like lets say a freakin recipe for at least the pea soup

The QFC in Mill Creek has only paper bags. I curse myself whenever I go in
there and forget my bags. I hate paper bags. They always rip before I get
them into the house.

I tried several and gave up. The washable ones were the worst. Can't see
through them and stuff like lettuce rots.

Gee, didn't I say the telephone works both ways? :) (Email does, too.)
I'm happy for him. Now let's just hope they keep up some occasional,
rational communication.

I certainly never said that there wasn't, but clearly how much money an ex
spouse gets for child support is a big deal even outside US borders, as
evidenced here.

I didn't limit it to the US. I also included your little brother :)

And, regardless, let's continue to interfere and to busybody.

Look at the bright side. His hatred for you, over the years, ticked his
blood pressure up just enough to stroke out. You win!

Certainly for my daughter and her two kids, only her salary was not
enough for rent, food and clothing needed for school, long before any
extras.

Yes, then it's crucial.

Would the sponsor be Craigslist? LOL

He *adores* Craigslist. IMHO it's got to be one of the only old school
"Internet" advertising places still in existence. Why's he bitching
about ads? Oh, has he never heard of ad blocking software? Thought he
was some sort of computer guru.

I occasionally run into a site that wants me to allow ads. If the site
is really something I want to read/look at I'll temporarily turn the ad
blocker off. Guess I'm just lucky. I don't seem to find my online
browsing or even occasional youtube videos innundated with ads. :)
