College days back in the 70's actually. I get the random premade tartar sauce but mine is fine. Try a dusting of garlic powder mixed in. Not too much or will overpower it. Duke's Mayo works best for it but it's not available everywhere. It's like a tart Hellman's if never tried it. > > was allowed to eat as soon as he came out of recovery. > I spent 3 months in a hospital, I quite liked the food. This one, Sentara Beach General (Virginia Beach) is actually supposed to have pretty good food but the Cafe downstairs for visitors was relatively bland per Don. The fruit cups and salad bar looked good though. Gluten issues eh? A lot of people seem to have that now. Do you bake? If so I have a really easy spelt recipe for a bread machine that might work for you. Spelt is an ancient cultivar wheat (not for celiacs). A simpler gluten formation and not as high rise but works nicely. > stuff every month > Tonight I think I am going to try and make a new recipe for pineapple > chicken using some of the jam I have. I saw. Good price though the air fryer use confused me a little. Those new 'insta-cook' type things seem to do jams as well. If you used the air fryer, perhaps it was a partial cook and dehydrate then mixed with sugar for a jam? > > 1 Tablesoon prepared mustard (I used a grainy sort but yellow will > > do) Scant dusting of garlic salt ** > I have a great recipe for a Mexican slaw if you want it. Love to see it! I'm afraid I am a chile pepper wimp if it has that. It's not that I don't like hot, it's that they don't like me much (grin). Finally made a fast trip to the grocery and will add my findings in a message shortly. |

My first wife of 14 years was a big time cheat, sshje worked and dwas intimate with her bosses. My second wife of less than one year was older than me and really didn't want to be married again. The third of less than one year who hung out at the gym was a cheat. My present wife and I have been happily married for thirty years. We both feel lucky to have met because we didn't want to spend the rest of our lives all alone. We knew it would work because both our parents became best of friends and had the same values....we've never argued about anything... we both accept each other's eating prefernces, I don't care that she won't eat onions and she doesn't care that I eat greens. Actually she's beginning to enjoy all kinds of greens that she has never met previously., And I don't mind eating onions when she's not home. Actually I find it somewhat difficult to cook without onions but I manage. Tonight it's fried Italian saw-seege, not sure with what yet. Dosen't matter, we've never argued about food... she doesn;'t care, she eats whatever I cook so long as no onions. |

Then you can take them out and finish them in the oven or toaster oven. |

Same reason upstate NY is great for retirement. you can get a lot of house for your dollar and on good acerage, but not much job opportunity. Young people once educated generally don't stay here unless they excel in a skilled trade and/or are into farming. Most of the trades people we use also do some farming, crops and livestock. Many are pulling down big bucks now that organic foods have become popular. One of my neighbors is heavily advertizing organic free range turkeys for Thanksgiving, Tomorrow is the last day to place your order. He's alresady reached his limit and he gets $7.50/lb. If I ordered a turkey at that price I'd be a turkey. Josh bought the house and land from the hay farmer that was haying my 91 acres in Knox, NY. Josh is raising Black Angus, hogs, and now has expanded into turkeys. He gets big bucks for his beef and pork too... the wealthy locals buy it but mostly he supplies fancy schmancy NYC restaurants. He emails me his ads about once a week only I'm not going to post them to the world. And I've already posted pictures of my Knox, NY acreage here. Josh is haying my land and he's paying my taxes. The NYC police horses get the hay from my land. Don't ask me why it's special, I know nothing about hay. Much of my hay goes to the down state race track horses. I do know that most hay is bedding hay, but feed hay is different, it's from specially planted seed. I bought that land thinking my daughter would want to live there but so far has shown no interest, but she seems to think both her daughters, my grands, would be interested in living there, time will tell. |

Housing prices are soaring around here because of the real estate boom in Toronto. Retirees in Toronto are selling their homes in the city and moving down here and picking up nicer houses for less than half the price. The aren't working anymore, and they have been empty nesters for years, so they aren't worried about job opportunities. |
