Is Australia testing as much as the US? Is Australia using excessive
cycling in their testing, as is being done in the US, leading to many
fake "cases"? Are their gunshot deaths in Australia that are attributed
to the virus, as in the US?

Boli died in 2012. Chatty Cathy pops in here every few years. She was
for a while very well known for her fun quick food surveys and
maintaining the RFC Web site.

Yes, young people think they won't get very sick from it and they're
often right. I constantly hear about football (feet, ball) players who
have covid. 2 weeks later they're playing again.

It's not Gary who seems to have problems following the guidelines.
Bruce (in whatever iteration) says there aren't any problems in
Australia. All anyone else is saying is don't get complacent due to low
reports of the virus. It doesn't appear to be going away and the
vaccine is not a guarantee nor is it going to be readily available to
everyone any time soon.

i don't sit in a chair at a computer desk. i sit as little
as possible now. i prop myself on the futon with some pillows
it saves my back a lot of grief. i have had a lot of injuries
from my younger years and a desk job for a number of years
along with the class work and computer labs which was more of
the same as the desk job. i liked to walk and keep active as
a kid, but not really active enough during the colder weather
and that bad habit is still with me. i do great during
gardening season and then just kinda go blah until spring
comes around again.

Herding cats was the way I thought of my wife's attempts to organize
family gatherings.

I'm happy these days. Why aren't you?
Dave Smith <adavid.smith@sympatico.ca>: Jan 01 10:20PM -0500

We started off with smoked salmon, thinly sliced red onion, capers and
served with sour cream with horseradish.

The main course was herb crusted rack of lamb, roasted potatoes, steamed
asparagus (Yes Jill, asparagus again) and salad with blue cheese
dressing. All turned out well, though the lamb was cooked a little past
perfect. I have done this recipe several times and each time it was
pretty much raw. It is supposed to be seared for two minutes on each
side in a pan and then 14-18 minutes in a 450 F oven. I thought that if
15 minutes was less than rare it might be better with 20 minutes. I had
not expected that it would go from almost raw to medium well in the
extra 5 minutes.

My cookie sheets don't have lips. They do have an angled, raised edge on one
side. If you put them upside down, they won't sit flat.

Care to share a site? And maybe your recipe? I know there are many. Mine
generally have mainly flour and butter. A little sugar. I have made them
with whole wheat flour, oats, various flavorings., Etc.

When I worked at K Mart, I made cookies for Christmas. I started early
because I generally had a total of 7, brown paper grocery bags full. Some
were given as individual gifts, but I always put out two trays in the
employee lounge and refilled them throughout the day.

The shortbread were often drizzled with chocolate and sprinkles. I tasted
them when fresh, and also several weeks later off the tray in the lounge.
Both tasted the same.

What does need to mellow are fruitcake and fondant. Both of those improve
with age.

knew one JoAnn.

about the tornadoes. I wasn´t worried about you and the current

The locals are people that have adopted the Hawaiian concept of "Aloha" and love the culture of Hawaii. I call them "Da Hawaiians" because "locals" don't mean shit to the people on the mainland. Yoose knows how King's Portuguese Sweet Rolls" are called "Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls" on the mainland? Same thing.

Yes. It's a sad place, but maybe the people there can do better
than yoose expect.

Yoose a bitter, hate filled old gook, but some of the younger
people are not. Soon enough, they will take over on da rock, and
yoose will fertilize the flowers.

I don't mind as long as someone else does all the dirty work. Head in
Sand approach to meat.

I tried and didn't like hunting and killing wild animals.
If I raised domestic animals, they would all become pets. Dammit.

does that mean you'll be giving up the faux 'vegetarian' diet you've been
touting?

I'd eat it at least once. Some things are worth getting diarrhea for. I'd eat halo-halo even though the last time nearly killed me - but what a way to die.
