That doesn't really work as an excuse - too many with MAGA gear on,
too many yells of 'Steal' etc. Even his message was spurring them on.

A lynch mob is never right.
What's wrong with you two?

Imagine if all the cops had been black at the Capitol yesterday. lol

One should never wash down a good meal with beer.
Also...you steamed those crabs live so you had a mess when eating them?
That's about as evil as it gets...steaming live crabs.

I just state my personal preference. Obviously I don't care what others
drink. You just like to nitpick and argue everything with everyone.

Thank you, Tert (I think) :)

My guess is that the basket is not really a basket. Water is put in the pan and the steamer tray is laid on the bottom of the pan. You steam food in the pan. Your food will be steamed until the water boils off. The cooker will then go into the warm mode. You can do a lot with a simple automatic rice cooker. You can cook soup in the pot and then keep it warm. I've used the warm function as a slow cooker. You can boil potatoes in the pot and make mash potatoes in the same pot and keep it warm. I suppose you could even make coffee. :)

You've never cooked long grain rice? Brand doesn't matter.

> I used 5 cups of raw rice, so 10 cups cooked.

That's where you blew it. 5 cups of raw rice will yield 15 cups of
cooked rice. Look at the directions on your package. You should have
added 10 cups of water for a total of 15 cups.

And why did you cook so much?

> Added butter and salt.

A little salt, yes. Don't add butter until after it's cooked.

The Democrats barely have the Senate. I foresee some of the more
moderate Democrats voting against anything too far to the left.

The Republicans may be in lockstep, but the Democrats are a herd of cats.

Cats don't do herds.

The Judicial branch is mostly conservative Republican appointees.

You'll only find old and preserved veggies (like potatoes) or fresh
and imported from other areas. Nothing special about a local farm in
January in your area.

This is a weekly pointer to the rec.food.cooking FAQ and conversion
file. If you do not want to see it every week, you should put the
title, which will not change, into your killfile.

The rec.food.cooking FAQ and conversion file is posted monthly to
rec.food.cooking, rec.food.recipes, rec.answers and news.answers. It is
also available as an easy-to-navigate frames version at

There is both a link to a no-frames version and a built-in no-frames
content for older or text-only browsers.

The rec.food.cooking FAQ and conversion file has two parts. The first
part covers conversion and equivalence. Tables are given for conversion
of oven temperatures, food names, weights and measures. Some useful
substitutions for unavailable ingredients are suggested.

The second part is more descriptive. It outlines some of the commonly
discussed topics of rec.food.cooking and explains a number of food
terms. It also lists other food-related newsgroups and mailing lists,
as well as food-related FAQs, recipe archives and other food/cooking
sites.

It would have been even more exciting if you had just left it lying on
the floor until someone crushed it underfoot as a crazy mixed up act of
defiance and social anarchy.

You're a hypocrite; you have NOT committed to zero petroleum because
you still own and regularly use a petrol driven vehicle "Baby".

You recently posted that charging your electric vehicle only provides
a range of 70 miles. Sounds like your electric car will shortly be on
the scrap heap (along with your various careers, relationships and
being a landlord).

The solution is simpler: grow your hair very long and many women will want to touch your hair :)
