Mmm hmm...

Well it's certainly a troll-grade crossing as they say, lol...

Sort of like how yourself, shrew Lucrezia and the Bwuthie-troll
relentlessly go off-group charter to inject politics here time and again?

And it's not because you lack plenty of groups EXCLUSIVELY chartered for
politics now is it?

Rather it's a not so subtle form of a-topical terrorism you practice,
demonstrating your innate need to bully, control, demonize, etc.

And frankly it's so obviously pointless in a cooking group, as you WOULD
admit were the truth in any of you.

Pointless that is...unless...your underlying goal was to cull posters
out by political affiliation, create schisms, and then exploit them.

I rather think the whole sordid lot of you are finally revealing your
agenda here by broad strokes now and I am more than happy to have goaded
you into overplaying your hands.

Oh it took some time and tweaking yes, even a bit of study spent back
reading Sun Tzu, but the easy first victories were never cause for
celebration, rather a caution for the depth and longevity of the
skirmishes yet to come.

Now as it stands we have a defeated enemy not yet certain of how or
where to retreat.

"When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. Do not press a
desperate foe too hard."

― Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Allow me then to make it easy for you trolls - you may remain as guests
here IF and only IF you lay down your bullying arms, relent from the
endless America-bashing and off topic political assaults, and moreover
begin to treat all here in a non-abusive manner.

Barring that, understand that your fragile egos will be pricked,
twigged, worried with and used as herding mechanisms in your own virtual
self-destruction.

So mote it be.

I haven't been bitching, I've been one click killfiling the iterations.
;) Actually, he was challenged about what he actually cooks rather than
criticizing or posting ingredient lists. Turned out to be fish patties
made with canned mackerel. How impressive!

Sorry, I didn't grow up eating any of those things. Maybe not sorry
since they don't sound appetizing. ;)

I have eaten tongue and like it. I like this recipe. Still, I don't
consider it either head cheese or souce, which are both geerally
molded into a loaf and sliced. When I see it in the deli case in
some supermarket I run the other way. :-)

BTW, I've copy the recipe!

It's hard to do more than GUFFAW at the longevity of the first grand

I think there is some truth in that, but I wager the profusion of kebab
shoppes and takeaways of all manner of ethnic cuisines from the far
reaches of the old empire are changing that rapidly these days.

The UK has always loved its native fast foods like fish and chips and
pub crisps and so on.

They simply never had the post-war corporate wealth to deploy them with
the scale our institutionalized burger joints and taco stands have.

Yeah, well it seemed that most of the pubs in London were owned by the
same corporation, and had the same menu.

Interesting, perhaps the consolidation has been going on in earnest then.

Twas a time no long ago where classic small business was very Brit thing.

And losing that is never a beneficial event.

Thread drift has always been a part of RFC and usually is food
related. However, more recently thread drift has virtually overtaken
RFC, and most of it is about in-fighting, not food.

It's a sad state of affairs! :-(

The nearest Costco to me is also about 60 miles, instead I go to BJs
which is only 20 miles, and they both sell pretty much the same
things. The small market in town sells brie in wedges and in small
wheels. At holiday times they have the small wheels on sale for $5-$6
at about a pound per. I think the wedges off a large wheel are a lot
better.

I have read that parsnips cause cancer, ditto for horseradish and sassafras,
