How environmentally unfriendly having them snail mail anything
needlessly. The paper, the staff, the mail truck ...it goes on and
on!

OTOH, it means jobs for people, and people who can handle your problems
when you have to call them about something.

Have you called any big business recently? No people, just a series of
Press 1, Press 7, Press your ass to the seat because you will be there
for a long time.

I gather you're poking fun at my small appetite. :) Hey, there's plenty
of meat on those chops for me. In fact I will probably only eat one
chop. But hey, brussels sprouts are a fine idea! I'll make and eat a
lot more than 4 of them (buttered). Thanks for the suggestion.

If you can read the label, the suggested preparation method is
*grilling*, despite what others have posted. At this point the weather
is questionable but cooking outdoors is not essential.

Will I post a pic of the finished chops? Only time (and my mood) will
tell. ;)

I prefer Thousand Island. The Pacific Island people have better ways to
worship a higher power. Some even have human sacrifice.

There ya go. I always mix mayo and ketchup together for dipping
veggies and also for a salad dressing when eating lasagna or
spaghetti. Salad/with that dressing on the same plate as that
dressing goes good with the tomato based sauce. YUM

I did save that recipe to try next time I make this.
It's just added W-sauce and garlic. Sounds good to me.

I've done ketchup with worchestershire sauce for dipping fries.
good but most times I prefer fries plain with salt and tons of
black pepper. I actually blacken the pile of fries with the
pepper. Many foods can get way too peppery but for some reason,
potatoes of any kind will accept it and still be good.

I like pickles but not on a sandwich or battered&fried.

My favorite pickles and taste... (oh boy, here we go)...are the 2
very thinly sliced pickles on a....(wait for it)...McDonald's
plain hamburger. I've never tried to find out what they are but
they are quite tasty.

Yesterday was my birthday. My official special meal was nachos (for lunch).
Dinner was a big salad with some leftover grilled chicken on it.
My husband hasn't been feeling well (norovirus, I think), so he had
scrambled eggs and toast for dinner.

The curse of the February birthday. About half the time we're sick or
just getting over something. About half the time the weather is too
nasty to make it worth going out.

It's been raining here now for over 4 days and still nasty out.
Depressing. Not bad temps though...low of 40 and high in low 50's
for all 4 days.

You must have missed the rant about restaurants not being able to cater
to vegans due to cross contamination in the kitchen. Or was it the
stupidity of the staff? Vegans need stop expecting the world to cater
to their narrow idea of what is good for everyone. Vegans are worse
than proselytizing religious fanatics any day!

Sorry, but one has to read like all of my posts to understand why I
say the things I do, in another unrelated post I remarked on how most
of the time I post something on here I am just being silly or just
fucking with someone.....

Pretty much everything I said in my previous reply to you was
sarcasm.. except the part about how the post was not meant for you...

But NNNNOOOO you gotta go all Deliverance cra cra on me and treat me
like a third world starving peasant farmer that only has 1 potato
growing in the window...

Wow jill that Almost sounds like a personal attack. Like so I did not
say D. C. name, maybe I had a reason... Maybe he and I go way back and
we are just the best of buds and no one can ever change that....
(excuse me I am tearing up)

Ok back... so anyway maybe I did not say The D.C. name because I was
not representing the actual person that is D.C. but the voice of the
church lady character. I wanted to emphasize the fact that the voice
was a male voice portraying a elderly female christian nazi. Cause
lets face it all christians are basically nazi. Anyway, I am done.

To post to this group you need to be ready to fend off critics or
just ignore them. Most everyone here has to run the gauntlet on a
regular basis. OTOH, the constant bickering seems to keep this ng
alive when so many have died out.

Would you mind re-posting the link to the rye bread recipe you've been
using? I think it was a Taste of Home recipe, IIRC. I thought I had saved
the link but sadly I can't find it. I'm stuck at home with nasty shingles,
and baking bread is a good spirit mender. I thought I'd give your recipe a
go.
