Canned pineapple is a safer choice for hamburger. Ok here goes nothing...... Well yes I used fresh pine's I had just bought three of them, they were on sale at walmart for 1.96 I have one of those pine' corers where it cores but also cuts the pineapple into a thin spiral. Well what it does is leave a good bit of fruit all alone the inside of the skin so I scrape out what I can and I use that in my different recipes, like the burgers, or pizza, or a ice cream treat, or pancakes, or pine' Mcgriddles, or what the hell ever. The rest I cut into rings or half rings and partially dehydrate some and fully dehydrate the rest.... Now I see what you meant when you said it would turn to mush, because a small part of it did... Oh the burgers I used a rolling pin and made them really thin so they froze solid real fast (couple of hours)... anyway I made one burger and Oh DAMN it was so good... the best slider ever!!!! I am about to go make another, maybe 2 more they are so damn good... I think if I turn the heat up a little more they will cook faster and they wont mush up I hope. the last ones only took about a minute a side... Play it again Sam......... -- ____/~~~sine qua non~~~\____ |

It's mainly Americans who have to 'renounce' their citizenship if they like somewhere else other than Trumpworld. I have my Canadian Citizenship and wasted no time dropping the other, this is the country I have chosen. |

It does not currently require citizens to renounce other citizenship. It does require that all citizens entering the country have an American passport, similar to Canada's requirement. If a dual American-Canadian citizen is travelling between the US and Canada he/she would have to have both a US and a Canadian passport. |

We have one province which is primarily French speaking and another that is officially bilingual. Only about 18% of Canadians are culturally English and if you want to lump them in with the Irish and Scots it is still only about 40%. I would have to say that rural Canada is pretty white, but the major cities are very diverse. The majority of Toronto residents claim to be visible minorities. More than 50% of Toronto residents were born outside of Canada. |

I think you better get something like Turbo Tax so you don't really mess yourself up with the tax man. The program will guide you through everything. If you use Turbo Tax the program will get you every penny you can have and will search out every single deduction, line by line for you. I think Turbo Tax for your situation is $39 or so at Costco. Just read the back of the box to see which level of the program applies to you. The program will even submit your taxes to federal and state via Internet and let you know that your taxes were received. I' be real interested to know where you came up with a figure of $72K for poverty level for taxes. Those folks working at McDonalds in Washington state must make a heck of a good salary. Poverty level for tax purposes is probably less than $15K/year. Janet US |
| jmcquown <j_mcquown@comcast.net>: Mar 26 04:40PM -0400 I haven't made this in a while. Today just feels like a blustery main dish dinner kind of day. :) I use my food processor to uniformly slice potatoes. You might prefer a mandolin. Sheldon might bitch about how none of us have knife skills to slice potatoes. Whatever. ;) Layer the thinly sliced raw russet potatoes in a greased or buttered 2 quart baking dish. Feel free to add sauteed onion, garlic and other aromatics in butter and add to the potatoes. Today I added 1/3 lb. diced andouille sausage. You could add ground beef, diced ham, or skip the added meat. Prepare 2 cups bechamel sauce. Pour the sauce over the potatoes in the baking dish, making sure all is coated well. Top with about 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese and a sprinkling of breadcrumbs. Bake at 375F for about 45 minutues until potatoes are tender and mixture is bubbly and nicely browned on top. Serve this with a vegetable or a side salad if you wish. Jill |
