Apparently 1% of women using the Pill properly will get pregnant within a year of using it. The only method that CDC rates as 100% effective is abstinence, but they point out that it difficult to stick to. > That said, I am very pro-abortion. It is a serious medical procedure that involves some degree of risk. I sure as hell would not want to have to have one. Nor would I want to be in the situation of having to consider having one. I prefer to leave it as a viable option for women who find themselves in need of one. I would normally not judge a woman harshly for having an abortion. The one exception to that in my life was the my late friend's ex who bragged about having had 5 abortions. That, IMO is using abortion as birth control. > I have a few relatives living in the USA "bible belt" and they > are all dancing with glee and praising Jesus for this current > movement. Most of us thought that the nail in the Republican party was accepting Trump as their candidate for president. Despite him having ending up even worse than we had expected, he still has massive support. |

I'd like to think it's "make sure the Executive Branch does stuff". The Executive Branch of the government includes the Justice Department (FBI, prosecutors, etc.), the EPA, Food and Drug Administration, USDA, and a whole raft of other agencies that actually conduct the activities of the government. I never thought much about McDonald's one way or the other. We didn't eat there when I was a kid and I don't eat there now. The rare times Mom took us kids to a hamburger chain it was a place called 'Burger Chef'. I think we lived in New Jersey at the time. I have no idea what she paid for the burgers. Jill |

Thus, now, he pretty much has control of the Judicial, Senate(half of the Legislative) and he runs the presidency much as an overlord with no one with real remaining authority to investigate or curb him. |

Last week the market in town had cukes 10/$10, mostly huge ones. I watched for a while and women were snatching them up, ten at a time. If you don't like living under Sharia law why would you want to live under Roman Catholic law? I agree with Steve and have always said that MdD burgers are very different from other burgers. Completely different animal and taste. I just happen to like that different taste so will buy some occasionally. Normally, I'll make my own or goto a better restaurant. Similar to canned tuna vs fresh grilled tuna steak. Not the same at all. Unlike Sheldon, I really DID start eating there when hamburgers cost 15 cents each...back in the very early 60's. Fries cost 12 cents. Just a burger and fries once per week. That's what I spent my young allowance on along with a comic book or two. (12 cents each then) > I had their famous burger and fries, the bun was ghastly - barely even > tasted like bread. I don't add water or milk to scrambled eggs. Might give the water a try to see how fluffy eggs taste though. When I make fried eggs (over easy), I cook 2-3. When I make scrambled eggs, I cook 4. The first 3 I eat plain with toast. The last egg (1/4 of the dish) I mix with ketchup. It's the dessert part of my scrambled egg meal. It's all good here. Each to their own, eh? |
