I doubt she was in danger of starving. The only breakfast thing I've
ever had at McDonald's was IIRC a sausage McMuffin. It was gross, but
my blood sugar was in the cellar so I powered through it. Next time
I'll stop at a gas station and get some jerky.

Just thought she was being a stupid woman?
Let me help you out. She spoke out in response to the outrageous
abortion laws passed recently by some states. Where even if a female
(perhaps even a child of 11 or 12) is pregnant as a result of rape or
incest, she must bear the child. No abortion allowed. Don't care if
a pregnancy is life threatening. Because there are such intelligent
men making laws. As stated by one male doctor 'women's bodies have a
way of taking care of that' (if she was legitimately raped and is
pregnant as a result.) 'Legitimately raped' as opposed to 'consensual
rape'. Again I am quoting a male lawmaker.
Your comment indicated callous indifference. You just figure you
should be able to stick your thing in any old hole whether it is
wanted or not, right? Not your problem.

You accuse me of calling you names and then you call me a fool. You
often do that. You complain and you whine and then you do it yourself
:)

And did I expect you to understand what's wrong with McDonalds? No, I
didn't, based on everything else you don't understand. Paint fumes are
a bitch.

I don't think Sheldon has even been n e a r McDonald's to even know what it
possibly could smell like. Maybe I'm not paying attention but the only ones
I smell are the barbeque joints and mainly it's the hickory wood they are
using for smoking.

I'd eat that. Hold the teriyaki sauce though. :)

Really? Well the rest of it goes, finish off in a hot oven for 30
minutes.

Pretty much the same here. If he cashed out, the tax man gets a big
bite and if he loves longer than expected, it can be in a poverty
situation.

When we bought this house we closed before the old house closed. I had
to move some money around to do it. You have to be careful of the tax
man can get a big chunk of it.

One of the best retirement investments I have seen was my uncle. He and
my aunt had their own businesses and properties and were able to retire
early, though they ended up going back to work because they liked
working, which is probably why they did so well for themselves. The
liquidated all the assets up here and moved to Florida and he put his
money into annuities. As you know, annuities pay you a pension as long
as you are alive. It's a crap shoot. If you die early they keep whatever
is left over, but if you live a long time you keep collection. He died
about a year and a half ago about 6 months short of his 100th birthday.
He is one of the few who ended up with a lot more than he had put into it.

I don't recall the last time I made mashed. Growing up, we had them
frequently. They are a must with pot roast. I like potatoes in any
form though.

With mashed, I use plenty of butter, warm the milk, often add sour cream
or heavy cream if on hand.
I usually use a hand masher though. I tend to overdo using a mixer.
