I made 4 more 24 oz jars of pineapple jam and I bought 2 48 oz jars of
creamy jif at costco. So I guess I am going to pb&j it for about a
month...

My pineapple jam is just the best tasting anything in this
universe... When I start eating it I just cant seem to stop.

It's Americans who always tell me that. I only listen in awe.

Bush's beans are just the best ever. I love their refried black beans
and pinto beans mixed up then added to my chili. They are gluten free
which makes them spectacular.

How do you nurse a rum an coke? Rum is the nectar of the gods. I
actually take an entire bottle of rum and pour take a half oz shot
then stick several mint leaves in there and add a few tablespoons of
sugar. Give it a bit of a shake and then over ice with a bit of
water... The perfect shot.

or add a little lime to it and instant Mojito

It think it is illegal to nurse a Rum

Good bread is spectacular too, thanks to the gluten.

Why would you add mint leaves and a few tablespoons (!) of sugar to
the nectar of the gods?

That would be a rust remover mixed with a gasoline additive. That's a phosphoric acid and ethanol cocktail. Sounds good to me. :)

You don't know a thing about my religion since I don't give that info out. I like most any kind of music. The performers don't have to be white and I don't even have to understand the words. Pretty awesome, eh?

So it's been a rainy and cold spring in the US Midwest, just this afternoon there are severe storm/weather warnings extant...huge red and yellow blotches on the weather radar...watching Judge Judy be she is "pre - empted" by the weather nooze...some places in Chicawgoland getting five inches dumped on them...much storm damage so far...tornado warning until 9:00 PM (it is now 4:43 PM)...GIANT hail some places...

Crop planting is WAY behind, very wet and few warm/dry days...peeps who garden haven't even really got started yet...jus today put away the winter duds, earlier this week it was in the c. 40 degree range in the mornings...

I remember Sheldon mentioning this, and how about Cindy H. over in Michigan and some of you others...check in and STAY SAFE...

As I kid I lusted for reel - to - reel...for Christmas 1968 my folks got me a small Sears Silvertone r-t-r, it took 3 1/4 reels...

A few years later I worked a summer job in order to buy a snazzy 1973 TEAC r-t-r tape deck, thought I'd died and reached audio heaven...kept working that job in order to buy the pre-recorded reel tapes, they were expensive...got a bunch from the Columbia Tape Club, others I got in Chicago at the old Rose Records on Wabash...

Most of my prerecorded stuff came from a record club , as did a
portion of my albums . Same music , same artists , same quality as the
music store on the corner - and in the end about the same price .

Our internet (10+ Mb/sec DSL 12 miles from town) and phone is under a
hundred a month , we stream all our TV content over the internet for
under 25 bucks a month . I think the cell phone is like 70 bucks a year
. As of right now there are a total of 6 computers networked and powered
- 3 laptops and 3 desktops . Each has it's own task , for example the
laptop in the shop has shortcuts to  all my machining information on the
desktop , the one hooked to the TV has my media files , etc . But not a
single "smart" appliance or device in the house . They ALL spy on you in
one way or another . I've gone as far as covering the lens of the camera
on my "new" laptop (Lenovo T510 refurbed corporate lease return) with a
small piece of electrical tape .

Every laptop that I've ever had that has the webcam is immediately covered with
a piece of electrical tape as soon as I bring it home.

Didn't he once try to get his tenants to share in the cost of his land
