There's more than just my date of birth encoded in that bar code and they're not entitled. -- The job of a journalist is to report the facts. (snippage) I can't speak for how things are now in the US military. When my father joined the Marines at age 17 (1942, WWII) booze was part of the culture. He wasn't old enough to vote, but hey, there's the Enlisted Men's Club, give that 17 year old boy (yes, I said a boy) a drink! When I was a teen the legal drinking age in TN was 18. Six months later the state changed it to age 19 and suddenly I wasn't allowed to legally drink anymore. I hit 19 and the state changed it to 21. Arbitrary numbers. Funny thing, when I was 16 I could buy whatever (back then it was those silly wine cooler things, I shudder to think about it) and no one ever asked me for ID. Now that I'm almost 60, if I want to buy anything containing alcohol I have to show my ID. Go figure. :) Jill |

Oh good lord, as if the entire school didn't know. Sadly, she never came back to school. Then again, there was another student who proudly attended graduation in 1978, I'll never forget her name. Marilee. She was quite obviously pregnant at the graduation. The guy who knocked her up had long since left the picture because he was an immature asshole. I do like casserole dishes. Very quick and easy to heat up a little bit later for a snack. Rarely made here but I've always liked it right out of the oven but often not so much for leftovers. I do remember the last time I made though, I even enjoyed the leftovers. So you say the cream of celery is good with that? I don't think I've ever tried that one. anyway...time now for a grocery store trip. |

I'm cutting your recipe in half so I can cook this in my older and smaller crockpot. I do like the crockpot idea as it's low maintenence...no need to stir often. Anyway, the beans are ready now. Soon as I go to the grocery store this morning (for other things), I'm going to start it. |
