Using them the right way would require several weeks or even months in
a school. I am telling you it would be like trying to teach a 3 month
old on how to tie a double knot....
People are really that damn stupid.

No, it's one of the corona viruses. SARS is also caused by a corona
virus.

The thing about racists is that they'll swear up and down that they're not
racists. I actually believe them - they really are totally clueless. People
of color know what the score is. America is supposed to be the great melting
pot but it's more like a great big power keg.

The other day I had the mask on and my breath smelled like rotting meat and
I was feeling a little weak. My guess it was because I hadn't eaten.
Luckily, there was a McDonald's nearby so I ordered a chicken McNugget Happy
Meal. Within a few minutes of eating some food my breath returned to its
normal sweet self. Was there every a more aptly named product than a Happy
Meal? I think not.

LOL so what exactly does a 'chicken McNugget Happy Meal' consist of? :))

The official naming convention for new illnesses is to _not_ use the
place of origin. It's been that way since 2015 or thereabouts. I
think MERS was the last major new virus that used the old place-name
convention.

The "Chinese virus" was temporarily named "2019 novel coronavirus", but
its official name is "Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2".

Of course, the popular press (including That Man in the White House)
won't use the official name, so they've just been calling it whatever
they like, depending on their political lean.

The disease that it causes is called COVID-19.

Sorry but I like to at least try speaking for them, or against the
racially minded idiots. At least they derive comfort from the fact we
don't all think like the idiots.

You're going to pussyfoot again. You're going to pretend you can't
even see if someone has Asian heritage. You're going to ask a Chinese
looking person if they happen to be from Iceland.

There are quite a few Icelanders with Chinese and Vietnamese heritage:

There are a lot of Asians, they are everywhere.

Lunch today was fried Spam with canned pork n' beans. I added some honey,
barbecue sauce, and oyster sauce to the beans. It was a most enjoyable
lunch.

It's a Portuguese pao doce - a brioche type bread. I need to work on the
recipe a bit so I'll let you know. This morning I put some butter in a
non-stick pan, poured a little sugar on it and then laid the bread on top to
give the bread a caramelized glaze. Hoo boy!
