Why do you call everybody who doesn't agree with you a socialist? Just
because a country's more civilised than the US doesn't mean it's a
socialist country. More than half the world would be socialist.

Bullshit. A number of young, healthy people have died.

Where do you get your information?

So, tell me about Bruce. A New Age, enlightened Ubermensch ain't going to
cut it. How would you define yourself, or did I just?

On a Dutch forum that I frequent, they give me hell for not being a
politically correct do-gooder. Some people there even call me a Trump
supporter. Coming from Dutch people's perspective, that's as bad an
insult as they come.

I know what you mean. For us, the supermarket is at 26 kms. That's far
enough to stock up and not want to forget something essential when we
go.

Not at all. Most people are also at a 26 km distance :)

That *is* a long way to go. You would definitely want to
"make a list and check it twice."

We often make a shopping list and then forget to bring it when we go
into town. But I order wine and cat food online most of the time, so
the essentials are covered :)

Yeah, must have been the smoked part. I bought a pack of 2
and it did say "smoked." I'll go ahead and use the other
one someday but won't buy them again. At least using the
chicken bullion will fix it up.

Even KenK's chicken bullion flavor and lots of garlic
is better.

It's all in what you're used to. I occasionally like sliced jalapeno on
a salad.

It might also be age-related. Aren't young people in the UK eating
spicier food nowadays?

IIRC Chicken Tikka Masala ties with Spag Bol as the UK's "National Dish"...

I sometimes think it depends on ones individual taste buds. While I
love a hot curry I find Mexican type heat made with jalapeno's etc.
unpleasant. I also wonder if too much Mexican dulls the palate
because I am surprised at what people will add to scallops for one
because their own mild flavour is what is so nice about them.

Grilled fish (gas grill), salad, and bread drizzled with EVOO.

Salmon for me; swordfish for him.

I lucked in and got the top of a leg of lamb at the supermarket, $10
off! Think someone likely wanted a 'smaller' leg of lamb and this was
the balance. Carefully roasted it to rare and it was delicious. Put
carrots in with it and had some nice fresh broccoli as well. Going to
do supper tonight and tomorrow.

I probably ought to do something on-topic. The day before yesterday, I made
homemade meatball, Paul Newman garlic spaghetti sauce and penne pasta. I
served it with a plain lettuce salad with Olive Garden Italian dressing and
garlic bread. I only made fifteen meatballs and warned that the limit was
five apiece.
Last night (tonight) I had a lot of pasta left with only three meatballs so
we substituted cut up Johnsonville Polish sausage for the lack of
meatballs. It worked!

I really like brisket, roasted slowly, it is so tasty. I use cheaper cuts
for burgers and also include some fat in the mix as lean beefburgers are so
dry.

====

Other than brisket what other cuts do you use? Taxted and Spent needs to
get the idea of what that cheap stuff is called in USA.
