You might want to try using Korean noodles instead. Nongshim Neoguri is a thick, chewy, satisfying, noodle that's light years ahead of that Japanese stuff. It will cost a budget-busting two bucks or so but the good things in life don't cost two bits. I get the noodles at the Korean mart in 4 packs for 6 bucks. I like to shop smart.

You are right.

I made do with what I had.

I do that all the time with left over meat, typically pork. There
were four slices of boneless pork loin in the fridge, so I jullianed
them for a soup... four stalks of celery sliced, two sweet onions
sliced, a piece of ginger root grated, a packet of Goya chicken
bouillion, a few drops of yellow food coloring for show, fresh ground
white peppercorns, four large garlic cloves minced, one large carrot
diced, dill weed, an 8 oz can of 'shrooms, perhaps I forgot something,
thickened with corn starch slurry. pork will be added later. No ramen
this time. That'll be my dinner, Kath is having a salad.

Today our new steel hose reel arrived from Amazon, very nice, very
well made, and well worth the $169, much better than those stupid
plastic ones that barely last one year... took me only an hour to put
it together and get the hose on it and all ready to go. Our tomato
seeds arrived today from Hudson Valley Seed Company.
I attempted to mow the side field today but too wet, almost got bogged
down, very thankful for 4 wheel drive... and we are supposed to get
thunder showers tonight... I'll just need too wait for some hot sun.

It means that the infraction was a minor one. The knuckleheads here believe that he nearly committed murder in the 1st degree. Mostly, they need to get a life they can call their own. 😈

It's not what we think, it's what the nursing agencies see online when they
key in his name.

Maybe he can get a job doing something else he actually enjoys.
Maybe something in a climate related field, or ecology, etc. Even
if it pays less, it might be better for his psyche, and he does
have a small rental income to help make up the difference.

Cannabis nursing isn't the only job that needs to be done.

A discipline on my RN license for a minor infraction. No one was hurt, I just violated a nursing rule, and it will remain forever documented on my "permanent record", and I MAY still practice as an RN too, unlike a 'suspension' or any more strict discipline. And itl;s "sensored" I believe, officially but not in 'spell check'!

That's it! Being censored is the least of the possible disciplines against my RN license, and I may still practice as an RN.

Thank you Cindy.

Yes, for a moment I thought "censored" replaced a swear word. As in
"What the *censored* are you doing?"

More fodder that nursing agencies can view and determine you are not the
person they want to let loose on patients.

>A lot of people are confused so I wouldn't worry about it too much. "Chili" is short for "chili con carne" which means meat cooked with peppers. Americans, being lazy, like to call it "chili." "Chili sauce" is a sauce that can be made with tomatoes and spicy peppers or just peppers. Mostly, Americans will use a sweet, tomato based, bottle sauce of the Heinz brand. I've never used the stuff myself but these days, I'll use a Chinese style chili sauce.

A shame about the Colour, although they spell it correctly. So what if
it's brownish instead of reddish? It is what it is.

>> The names of food will typically change in different geographical locations. Most times, it changes once it reaches different lands. The stuff we call "chili" is not the same stuff served in Texas. The local chili here has a lot of sugar, beans, and mayo in it and it's served over rice. It's roots lie in Cincinnati rather than Texas. How this happened, I haven't a clue.

But the sugar gives it away.

I also use this sauce too. Sometimes, two sauces are better than one. The weird thing about it is that it's in the same jar as strawberry jam. It even looks like strawberry jam. That's just asking for trouble! I don't know what's in this stuff either but it has a nice prickly spiciness.

We used to have roast beef almost every weekend. There was always lots
of leftover beef. Some of it would be used to hot roast beef sandwiches
and once or twice a week it would be Shepherds pie..... not Cottage pie ;-)

The colored peppers are very nice. Unfortunately, they cost about 2.5X the price of green peppers. Beats me why that is.

Here's a cake my step-mom made. It's like a slice of Sweden in Hawaii.

Doesn't that look a bit too cheerful to be authentically Swedish?

I suppose it does but it has a dark inside. Here's a Swedish singer that was washed up at age 15. She's looks all perky and cheerful but she's singing about parents that are derelict in their parental duties/skills. It sounds all cheerful but at its core, it's pretty dark and scathing and cuts to the bone. Well, that's my interpretation of the song anyway.
