Masks offer as much protection as pantyhose condoms.

so what you are saying is masks are designed to protect the ignorant
from the stupid?

Either way a mask WILL NOT stop a virus completely, it will just cause
the disease to spread slower and drag out for long periods of time.

You can blame that totally and completely on the idiots of the media,
although trump did not help one bit saying shit like injecting bleach
in people will cure the disease.

although Trump didn't say that at all.

Correct, but here is what he said:
"And I then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one
minute, and is there a way you can do something like that by injection
inside, or almost a cleaning."

When the temps are mild and the sun is shining I sit on the patio and
read. The self-isolation orders don't say you can't spend time in your
own back yard or on your balcony or patio. Just don't go hanging out in
crowds and if you must, please wear a mask. It's pretty simple, really.

We could be in for stormy times with China in the near future.Canada is
already in their bad books because we acted on a US request to arrest
and hold a Chinese executive for violating trade sanctions. They have
retaliated by refusing to buy some Canadian agricultural products and
they had arrested and held two Canadian men for a year and a half,
accusing them of spying.

Meanwhile, the protests are heating up in Hong Kong. There are 300,000
"Canadians" living there, most of whom came over in the early 90s, got
Canadian citizenship, and then returned. Our government likes to send a
signal that we will defend out citizens, even though people like them
are basically citizens of convenience. It should be interesting.

If the House (which is mostly lawyers) felt they had enough
evidence for a Bill of Impeachment, then not drawing up the
bill would have been a dereliction of their duty.

Perhaps the Senate should have done a proper trial instead
of stamping their foot and saying "No!"

Fat chance. He'd feel like a loser if he didn't run again,
and that's the worst thing in Donald Trump's books.

That's just the white guy's view of things. They like to blame colored folks for their problems. My guess is that you don't even have a clue if they're Chinese or not before you spit in their general direction. The Asians have a decidedly different view in these matters.

I'm certainly a grown man and I've become addicted to beans the past few
years. I have homemade great nothern or lima bean soup or stew almost
every day as one meal. Experimenting trying to find other beans I like
as well. If not those then canned beans. Almost vegatarian, just chicken
bullion cubes. I usually eat a sandwich, meat and often with cheese,
sometimes only cheese, most every day too.

I like beans but I can't say beans excite me, in fact I don't
recommend eating beans prior to a sexual encounter. ;)

My husband is in charge of garlic bread. I believe he melts
butter, infuses it with minced fresh garlic, and then cools
it to a spreadable consistency.

He won't make less than a whole loaf.

> Or sometimes lazy, I'll just add some garlic powder.

That's what we did when I was a kid.

What I did yesterday was what I do when I'm lazy. There was
plenty of garlic flavor (half a clove for a single slice of toast).
The bread started out frozen, so I had to toast it anyway.

Or you can just cut the top off the bulb of garlic, pour a dribble of oil
over the cut portion and wrap tightly in aluminum foil. Roast/bake in the
oven for about an hour at 400°. No special roasting dish needed.

My father couldn't stand the smell of garlic breath. When he picked me
up from the rail station, after I'd visited my then girlfriend in London
and eaten garlic-rich dishes, he'd open the car windows for the drive
home, complaining all the way:-)

It's some powerful strong-smelling stuff especially if you've not been eating
it.

No, it won't. The warning was in case they stopped me again and I was
speeding then I'd definitely receive a ticket as they'd already given me
a chance to slow down. Insurance automatically renews next week.
