Foil wrapped potatoes are not baked, they're steamed/same as nuked...
WTF did you do that... that's what cheapo restaurants do. Aluminum
foil needs to be banned from all kitchens. I have a 125' roll of
heavy duty Reynolds Wrap in a cupboard that's missing maybe 20', it's
dated 1982 when I first opened the carton. It's been so long since I
used any I can't remember what for but I do know it wasn't for
anything cooking related, likely something artsy craftsy. I stopped
cooking on aluminum many years ago, it leaves a terrible flavor on
foods, especially on seafood or anything salted. Other than several
pieces of Nordicware bakeware (nonstick coated cast aluminum) I don't
own even one piece of aluminum cookware. The only piece of cast iron
I own is a gingerbread house mold (nonstick coated too). I cook/bake
on stainless steel/carbon steel. I own some glass/ceramic covered
caserols, but I never use them for cooking, they're used for food
storage/marinating.

My in=laws used to fire up the charcoal grill and then cover the grate
with foil to cook. Yummy, just like frying inside.

I like aluminum foil if I have something to cover and I don't have a lid
for that dish. Usually something I've prepared and am going to give it
to someone. Some baking pans I will cover with foil for ease of clean up.

Likely better frying in a pan on the kitchen stove.

I use cheapo plastic containers for storage or giving... if they give
them back fine, if not no noticeable loss. I'd much rather reusasable
plastic containers than Aluminum foil.

Actually all the squinchy eyed ones are Orientals... Asians could
include Russian, Indian,Turkish, Greek, etc. Except for the oceanic
distance Ukeleles could well be Asian/Oriental... I'd say they're
Pacific Rim Bastards, like all the Pineapples. These days with all the
population consisting mainly of mixed race most everyone is a Bastard.
I've yet to figure out what Black Lives Matters means... there are
hardly any pure negroes anymore, perhaps in museums and zoos. Yoose
gotta ask Dr. Livingstone I Presume. LOL-LOL

I'm sure we do, too. I broke down and bought an avocado today, even though
I fully expect to be disappointed in the result. It's the usual Hass
avocado, probably grown in Mexico. It weighed 205 grams and cost $1.49.
A couple of days ago I saw them in a different store on sale for perhaps
one-third that price but I didn't realize at the time that I'd want one.

I got way too much stuff in the kitchen. What I need to do is get rid of stuff. I need a black hole that I can chuck a large part of my kitchen into.

Seems it would only hold one of my balls... my balls match my burgers,
12-14 ounces each.

An air fryer is just a miniature forced-air (erroneous labelled
'convection') oven with the disadvantages:

- space-hogging, as you pointed out.
- power cord; usually short because of amperage.
- smaller. (Also makes it more difficult to clean.)
- difficult to view food compared to oven window.

The only possible advantages I can guess:

- A higher thermal transfer rate due to higher temperature AND higher
forced air current flow. You can cook a small quantity of food much
faster. This is good for a single entree of chicken wings or fries.

- A spare oven when the main oven is already cooking.

I've got the Ninja Foodi which is also a pressure cooker, slow cooker,
dehydrator, and all the other things it does such as roast, etc. It holds
quite a bit but it is very large and heavy. But it's not hard to view foods
cooking unless you are using the pressure function.

I can do 6-8 chicken wings in it but I have a toaster convection oven
when I don't want to use the stove oven. The Ninja Foodi people have
also come out with just an air fryer/grill and it's large and would do
plenty of fries or wings. But it, too, is a space hog, and the lid
can be raised at any time to view your vittles.

Basket I guess. It has a drawer that pulls out.

I cook only for myself.

My dad used to smoke chuck steaks back in the old days. He'd hang them on hooks in a metal barrel. On the bottom was a small hibachi. Well, that's what I recall anyway. He'd season them with red Hawaiian salt and pepper. The steaks, when sliced, would be bright red on the outside from the smoke. I've never seen a steak come out like that. It's a heck of a way to cook a chuck steak. I wouldn't try this on any other cut besides chuck.

Thats fair, I personally rarely click on any links too, and I understand that this is only my second time posting here.
But I appreciate all the support I have found here. The video is in no means a perfect way to cook all steaks and cook to my families taste.
I should have been a little more clear on that in the video, I am still working on editing it right and convening the right message.
