Over the years, I've painted every room in my house with water based paint except the bathrooms. I even went from whitish to forest green to whitish in the living room. By the time I finished two walls, one was dry enough and I had two to go. And then, I'd repeat.Once, I painted a popcorn ceiling with a roller, and that didn't go well. That ceiling is smooth, but painted, today. It's the only one in the house like that. On the other hand, I don't paint fast and have had no interest in painting more than one room in a day. So, unlike Gary, I paint a room as a project, not a houseful of rooms as a job. Now, I won't even stand on the bottom rung of a ladder without support, so my iffy painting days are over. |

We have one right up the road, a couple of miles, as well as a Costco, a half-mile from Walmart, that I have paid the entrance fee for. But neither are super convenient. We have a way more expensive supermarket, less than a half mile away, where I shop. I would actually prefer Winco, but it is slightly further than the two-milers and in a different direction. I'm so set in my ways that I scare myself, and it costs me money with every short trip. |

I saw Don Rickles live at the Mapes or Riverside Hotel in Reno when his particular brand of humor was taking off in the late sixties. He was edgy and not particularly funny. I hoped he wouldn't point at me to rag on during his performance, and he didn't. Bruce is a laff riot, so he has a ways to go to reach Rickles level, although his pescatarian schtick is a good start. |

I went with her to an open house showing and it was the first time either of us had been in the house since the early 1960s. She had not really paid any attention to the baseboards as a child but those 12 inch high baseboards got her attention at the open house. They looked normal to me since mine are pretty tall as well. |
