You might consider the comments section of a web site devoted to
the use of pizza ovens.

I made this using cob, which is a mix of clay and sand. I used about a 1:1
ratio and built up nearly 6 inches thermal mass. I made it to be modile, so
during the winter I can move it to the garage so it hopefully last longer.
