That's funny considering that nb is the Queen of abbreviating and
mangling words in Usenet posts just to be cute.

Technically, American voters chose Clinton. But the peculiarity of
the Electoral College made Trump the winner.

Still, it's embarrassing that 60 million voters picked Trump.

I remember in Texas in the '70s, there used to be a place in Virginia called the Red Barn and in Texas (near the old Astrodome) there was a place called The Brisket House. Are there any good places where you are?

My guess is that you don't know what you're talking about, Mr. Hawaiian blanket statement.

The Hawaiians love gravy. The Chinese love gravy. I love gravy but you're not going to see me ever make 3 gravies at once and stick it on a table. My guess is that you've never done it either. Perhaps you should try it. I sure won't.

There was one gravy for the beef, one tan gravy for the Swedish meatballs. I'm guessing that the white gravy was for the pork, which was damn delicious. Of course, I'm far from an expert on Swedish gravy practices so I might be wrong.

It was for a birthday so I was expecting to have a little cake and coffee. My step-mom made a big spread that was quite unexpected.

You can get a judgment against them that will never be collected.
That's why most of us have uninsured motorist coverage as well. In
spite of the law, there will always be those that ignore it. Some would
call them scofflaws.

I don't follow. How am I getting ripped off if my insurance pays for
the damage from someone that is irresponsible? I'm paying for a
coverage I may or may not need.

I have no idea how this all works here. I've never heard of uninsured
motorist coverage or "collision".

Motorist sounds very British, by the way. "Look, old chap, there goes
a motorist on the motorway."

Must have liability that pays for damage you cause to others. Comp and
collision is optional though if you finance the car the bank requires it

Hopefully then the owner of the car can afford to do that?

Virginia and New Hampshire do not. But in Virginia you have to pay the
state $500 a year to not have it and you are still liable.

Is that good? Or does your insurance cost more?

You think that insurance companies rip you off? Wait until you have an
accident and the person who is severely injured, needs 24/7 nursing care
and can no longer work at their 7 figure salary job. Courts can award
some astoundingly high awards. If it is more than your bare minimum
coverage you are going to lose that house which has already cost as much
in repairs as you paid for it.

Insurance varies depending on location, driving record, age, type of
car. Could be $500 to $2000. For a teenager with a speeding ticked,
could be over $3000 just for liability.

You might be surprised at the number of people driving around with no
license or with suspended licenses. When I was working I had a knack for
catching suspended drivers, and a lot of them had long conviction
records. The record holder had 24 convictions for driving under
suspension.

One of the typical scenarios would be an unsafe vehicle, suspended
driver and no insurance.

For many years the fine for driving without insurance was $500-1,000.
For some people it was cheaper for them to pay the fine than to get
insurance. Then the government clued in and raised it to $5,000 for a
first offense and $10,000 for a subsequent conviction.

Not me. Thanks to the development of non-dairy products, black folks and Asian folks can enjoy white fluffy material on their pie without the toxic effects of that poison, lactose - and the rest is history. As an added bonus, the stuff is awesome when lit.

Its a single, variable-width vertical cross section of the spinalis,
complexus, and longissimus muscles from the 5th through 7th ribs of
a recently deceased porcine organism.
