It led to SDI, one of the most important and least understood of Reagan's Cold War policies. To Reagan, SDI served as a catalyst for—the enabler of—his "world free of nuclear weapons." Reagan's nuclear abolitionism also pervaded his administration's approach to arms control, and his interactions with Soviet leaders..."

We lived in Japan immediately following the end of the war and as late
as 1962 when I was home again visiting my parents my mother had a maid
who she allowed to go back to Hiroshima regularly to take care of
relatives who had been on the outskirts of Hiroshima when the bomb
dropped, who had radiation sickness and were then in the process of
dying finally.

We went to Japan by sea from Hong Kong and even as a child used to
seeing bombed buildings in the war years in Plymouth, UK even I could
see the momentous damage done to Hiroshima as we passed in the train
(our ship had docked in Shimonoseki)

Recently I felt quite depressed that in my callow youth I marched for
Ban the Bomb and now here we are, still with the bombs and a nutbar
capable of feeling spiteful and launching one. No progress.

Not having read Greg Sorrow's diarrhea, I don't know if you're
referring to Trump or the Korean f.knuckle.

Though I was thinking of the one next door, the Korean one is
depressing too.

You're right. I don't care about fried rice. As a side dish, it's too
much. As a meal, the proportions are wrong. Too much rice, not remotely
enough vegetable.

I love kimchee and all sorts of banchan, though. I rate the local Korean
restaurants on the quality of their banchan.

The proprietors of the restaurant where I tried KFR are FOB Korean.

There are 48,000 Koreans in Hawaii and 1.7 million Koreans on the
mainland. Guess where you can find the best kimchi.

I have reheated steak but you have to be careful. I will slice it and
reheat in the microwave at 30% power and check it so it is warmed and
not cooked. Go too long and you'd have dog food.

Usually best when dead. Stays on the plate that way.

The n95 masks with filters are supposed to filter out 95 percent of cooties entering and exhaling also in theory.

I wore my mask to the beach because you cross Lake Shore Drive via a tunnel to get to that Chicago beach where you can't enter the sand but it's ok to sit on the park bench. In general I remove the mask out doors unless I'm on a crowded sidewalk. The city is now allowing restaurants in the beach area to open, but the sand is closed.

Thank you. That one worked. Answered as Sparkletts. They say my next
delivery is scheduled for 8/13 and that I get deliveries every month.
Can't understand that. Usually get it delivered in the last week of the
month every two months - last delivery month was May. I guess I'll have
to wait and see. Hope I don't run out.At least I hope a sort of working
number now. Wonder if I can get past the "Press 1 for" lists next try?
