Every time I cook a steak, I'll always save a bit for the next
day.

The cold leftovers, I'll cut very thinly, add a little salt.
Lightly toast and butter a slice of bread,
fold in half then add in some steak slices. Makes a
nice half sandwich. or 2 or 3 half sandwiches.

Lobster in Texas for $5? Tell me another one. Sorry but that's
just very hard to believe.

Looks good though although I would have made that 2 dinners. I
know Surf and Turf is popular but I've never understood why.

I always thought, showing off. I can't fathom mixing the two, it
would be difficult to pick up on the fine flavours of lobsters mixed
with steak. I love both, but separate :)

I've known too many men that think they "are the man" yet are
total puppets with their wives pulling the strings. They all
talk crap when around other men but see them at home and the
difference is very noticable and funny.

There's a new documentary coming on the "History Channel"
starting next Wednesday, I think. It's a doc about animals
in the wild and they've been advertizing it often here lately.

In one quick shot, they show a female lioness punching her
mate in the face with her paw. The male lion cringes then
starts roaring. LOL. Reminds me of you every time I see it.

That's not it. It's that he's childish. What man refers to his
mother as "Mommy"? What man stamps his foot and whines when
people don't reply to his posts? What man brags about the most
mundane aspects of his life?

What woman feels the need to put that man down day after day, month
after month and year after year? How sick is that?

All operators named Bruce are standing by.
Took you all of 2 minutes to respond to Cindy. lol

And it took you 20 minutes to respond to me. Is this a new autistic
hobby?

Does Sheldon have any kids of his own (biological)?
Or is this his wife's kids from an old marriage?
Only she goes to visit them, never him.
He stays home and cooks onions while she's gone.

I used to use a child's lunchbox to keep things I might
need while at work all day. It was full of many little things
but it stayed in my van. Never a need to carry it with me.

There's an old movie, "Down Periscope" (1996) about a submarine
crew of misfits. In one scene they were playing pirates and the
cook pinned a whole raw chicken to his shoulder to simulate
a pirate with a parrot perched on his shoulder. heh eheh

It's an amusing movie.

I'll warm up a steak to room temp before cooking but I've never
bothered to do that with chicken. Chicken takes longer to cook
and it doesn't really matter, imo.

If you think a mother bear is protective of her cubs, just watch
a human male when a young male gets too close to his teenage
daughter.

Or maybe he'll climb up on a ladder once a year with a rag and
some copper polish to keep it nice and shiny.

With the odd 4 syllable name.

It was hell 31 hours with no power.
Not much of a storm here but did worse inland from me.
My power went out at 6am Tuesday morning
That next night was the worst.
Hot, humid, no wind at all. A sweat box here inside and
even outside. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Nothing to do here but read with a flashlight but you
can only do that for so long. And all the time, a film
of sweat on me. Only breeze was to fan myself with a
thin piece of cardboard.

Still off the next morning so I went outside but not
much relief out there either. It did finally come back
on about 1pm and I was sure thankful that I wouldn't
have to spend a 2nd night like that.

My guess is that KFR is not very good on the mainland because people don't
care about kim chee or fried rice. On this rock, it's the bomb. I love the
freaking stuff.
