I can see it now. Prius and BMW are out of their vehicles, ready to rumble. A crowd gathers hoping it goes all the way. Then a Karma pulls up. A guy gets out wearing a Karma badge and asks the participants what the problem is. "Not all at once", he says as both bombard him with their own versions - "one at a time." He asks the Prius owner what happened, and the BMW guy is going, "Why are you asking him first?" "Ok then", say the Karma official, "let's flip a coin." Then an argument ensues over who gets to call it first. Finally the Karma official takes control of the situation by spinning around in faster and faster in a hard tight circle till he is so dizzy he can't see straight. Then he points to one of the wannabe fighters and says, "Ok, you first. What happened?" Both drivers get to give their version. "I can't settle on a verdict on such stance info", the Karma official says, "So we're going to leave this one up to fate." Then he pulls a wireless microphone from his pocket and intones Micael Buffer style, "Ok Gentlemen, let's get ready to rumble", as the crowd shouts approval. Yes, Karma intervened in this one. I will not reveal the results of the rumble. But one guy died, beaten to death in front of a wildly entertained crowd. It was Karma at play - for someone. |

It's always funny in the news when the car brands and styles are mentioned in the report. "The Prius guy vs the BMW guy", and readers are taking sides based on which car they'd most like to own, or maybe one they already own. "The Prius guy is guilty", one might say, "I've met a few Prius owners in my time and they were all garbage." > "Bullshit", cries the other guy, "BMWers are the worst assholes on the road. I guarantee you the BMW guy started the incident. > Then, even funnier, after reading your report about the Prius and the BMW, the very next paragraph begins with the word "Karma", and I'm thinking, "Is this another brand of car?" Karma, a pretty good name for a car. May already exist. In the meantime, without having been there to see it in person, I will not judge a person's guilt or innocent on what kind of car they own. I will base it instead of what they do for a living. I'll bet the Senator's aid was in the BMW. I will also bet he started it because he felt like a big man in the BMW which was probably on loan to him from the Senator he worked for. Yes, yes, the politician type guy is guilty. The other guy is probably guilty as well, to some extent, but not as much as the other guy. That is my final verdict unless new and valuable information comes my way. You are correct. The BMW guy was in trouble a few years ago for road rage too and he certainly worsened things by hitting the other car. Probably thought the Prius guy was a sissy and he could get away with it. Florida stand your ground laws let you shoot back. |

Too political an issue for my tastes. Whether these guys would have gotten violent with each other without guns is an unknown. They were probably both assholes - at least at the time of the incident - but to blame the gun for their behavior is unfair to the gun. |

Obviously it's more complicated than mere 'child slavery' and there is never any nuance involved on this topic. China could ban child workers, then what? Westerners get all preachy but care little beyond the more difficult questions. |
