The first time I had onion rings at A&W was in the early 70's. The rings were indeed an extruded product. I know that because I took several apart to understand what I was eating because that's just the kind of guy I am. I haven't been to an A&W in some 40 years or so. It doesn't surprise me that they've changed the product. I had some onion rings from Jack in the Box this evening and they were real and just awesome! >Jack's is OK, most of the time. Its just that with many of these fast food places, you have to be careful to say "hot off the grill", that way you won't get food that's just been lying around. I like their tacos, too. This is NOT my frogger. -- This is NOT a post by Dave Smith |

I didn't mean to insult the fillet o fish lovers, but the generic frozen fish sticks from the freezer that I had as a child were even superior to those. I tried a box of them at Aldi about 2 years ago to prove it, and I was correct. |

The West coast of the mainland had some flooding. That's kind of strange but I'm not complaining. |

Very true, it also depends on where you live. I make, at best, a bit over half of the above number, and I can live comfortably here on that without any luxury stuff. |

I'm not an economic specialist, but I'd say that printing trillions of dollars out of thin air = inflation. |

You might be right. Primanti brothers is a famous sandwich shop here... basically a step up from fast food -- and 2 steps up in price. They add coleslaw and fries to every sandwich -- "Pittsburgh style". |

That sounds like a good lunch for today. :) My grandmother always made "pancake egg" sandwiches. Basically a scrambled fried egg on bread, with mayonnaise. I usually preferred it with ketchup. I think that actually does sound like a good lunch today! |

When I word for Monsanto in my Computer Engineer Cooping we had a bunch of us make Chicken Wings for a company thing we were having. And one batch of wings specifically said HOT and so some of us sampled them. Someone remarked how these wings were really hot, and me and Martina Chan simultaneously said "They are not that hot"! Because as I learned early on at Asian restaurants I order my food "Thai Hot" because I LOVE capsaicin! John Kuthe, RBN, BSN... |
