The reason for that is that they still make money selling ads and listings in the yellow pages. I've been burned from contractors found on the internet. I've resolved to not hiring a business unless they have a presence in the yellow pages. Only real, licensed businesses pay for an ad in the yellow pages. I still use a phone book at least a few times per month. It's sometimes it's faster to flip the book open rather than wait for the computer to boot. Some localities don't have white pages available on-line. However, white pages are only land line numbers. |
