I don't know, but I'll do what I did last year. I'll tape the game and
buzz through it looking for humorous commercials.

Whenever I see nattering Chinese students in the local stores, I'll often "nudge" them
aside with my shopping trolley...

One of them once dropped a bottle of wine, lol...

I suggest Hawthorne, Nevada. There's plenty of government land, a
alkaline lake that could take care of water sports, plenty of old
ammunition bunkers for housing, a barely functioning main base that
could be revamped into a glorious IOC headquarters and access to the
High-Sierra, barely sixty miles away for winter sports.
They even have a 10,000 foot mountain that overlooks the lake and would be
great for panoramic shots.

The lake is a little smaller now. That stitched together picture was
taken in 1974. I'm just trying to help the town ;-)

There are a lot of things I don't understand about those strange
connections. They talk about the sanctity of life, but they also tend
to support the death penalty. Some are willing to make exceptions for
cases of rape and incest. I can't disagree with them about allowing
abortion in those cases, but if they are concerned about the sanctity of
life they can't be blaming the fetus for the sins of the parent(s).

A foetus hasn't killed anybody yet.

It doesn't matter where they are from. The style is Bento boxes. I've
been using the same reusable microwavable dishwasher safe freezer safe
containers with lids for years. I don't throw things like that away,
either.

It's a newsgroup and several here were there. Suspect the bread
newsgroup died out.

I enjoyed that group when the guy was there, but he left when I was on
hiatus from all newsgroups (this one too). I came back here (and the
bread group) and found myself blamed for the guy leaving because I post
too many bread machine recipes and don't tell folks they cant use
all-purpose flour but instead add how to adjust if all-purpose is used.

Piffle. I moved on.

I may leave here. If so, I worry what will be left if I come back.

Don't worry. I'll keep an eye on them.

St. Louis is bad enough. After we retire, we're planning to
spend winters in Mexico, like Guadalajara or Querétaro City.
Mid-Dec thru mid-March the nights are chilly, and the days
pleasantly warm. Lodging is cheap, and the food is both
cheap, and exactly what we both love. None of this snow
shit.

You're a very tribal Us vs Them thinker. If you had moved to Zimbabwe
in 1967, that would have been your best country in the world.

Amen. People who think there is, are deplorable.

I was obsessed with that when it came out in late '65... SO "futuristic"...

But the brakes on the front - heavy beast were so bad that driving could be
hazardous... IIRC 'Consumer Reports' almost rated it as "unacceptable" for
safety reasons...

And yeah, the original Toro was "an answer to a question nobody had asked"...

I'd buy one in a heartbeat, though - updated with modern disc brakes...
