I don't like the way that electric stove tops cook. We usually had an element style electric stove growing up, and grandma had the glass top for years. I've never used an induction stove, but I can say for certain that when moving into my house, wired for an electric oven, I plumbed a natural gas line in for a gas stove stove well before I moved in. |

The cornbread that I had from the local cafeteria-style restaurant the other day sounds somewhat like what you describe. It was sweet, almost cake-like. It was very moist, and not dry or dense at all; no butter needed. I still say it was the best cornbread that I've ever had, although I don't think that Jill or a few others here would like it since it's on the sweet side. |
