(although explaining later, you call backsliding) Bras and panties cover the same body parts as a bikini does. Walk into a room where a woman is getting dressed and only in bra and panties and they might scream, " GET OUT!" and try to cover themselves. Same girl on the beach out in skimpy bikini has no problem with her body being seen by all. You think I'm prudish? It's a peculiar thing. They will go to a beach and dress in the skimpiest things they can find to wear in front of strangers but they would never wear them around their neighbours. The further they are are home the more they will bare. They will go to nude beaches in foreign countries but not at home. FWIW, laws about women going topless were struck down by the courts as unconstitutional. So now women can go topless in most places. Not many do. > You think I'm prudish? Hell no, I welcome any views of a good woman's body. People are funny. Women are as hypocritical on the matter as men are. They want to be able to go topless in public and argue that breasts are not sexual, that it is men who are sexualizing them, but.... if a guy spends too much time looking at them he is accused of ogling and making her feel uncomfortable. If he should touch them it is sexual assault, not just assault but a sexual assault. I don't think that people should be able to play it both ways. >> And of course there is the whole anti-makeup thing. Thank you. I guess he thinks that cooling oven is somehow going to reach the interior of the ham and magically cook it. Ham is a dense food and bringing the meat up to *some* temperature then turning off the oven and letting it 'cook' overnight sounds like a good way of getting food poisoning. |

What a blasphemous thing for me to say on Easter Sunday, of all days. ;o John 3:16 is probably the most well-known Bible verse: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Get real. If God so loved the world, why condemn all humanity for the sin of Adam and Eve? That makes no sense to me at all and I've never heard a valid answer to that question. |

Ann Arbor is allowing people to refrain from mowing their lawns for the month of May, to benefit pollinators. My yard is crappy enough that stuff blooms whether I mow or not. And I don't live in the city. I tried mowing only part of my lawn last May, but the unmown portion got so tall that even my 16-hp mower had a hard time when I finally mowed it. Maybe I'll do every other week for the "back 40". -- Cindy Hamilton |

Now Himself uses a commercial-type unit which can be fitted with a brush-cutter blade or a heavy duty string trimmer. |

Maybe I'll do every other week for the "back 40". The soil in my yard is very rich and the grass grows quickly by the end of April and into May and June. I usually have to mow at twice a week There are 5 sections of lawn and those at the front and back get the most attention. If I don't mow frequently I get huge windrows of clippings and it looks like crap. It is too big to rake. I can let the parts by the barn and behind the stream grow longer. I know that people think we should let the dandelions grow to feed the bees but there is a down side to that. It is hard enough to keep whose things under control. but if you let them go to feed the bees they get pollinated and then there are even more to deal with later. FWIW my neighbour has beehives. He has 9 acres that he can allow to go to weed. I have flower gardens they are welcome to feed on. |

Rolled oats aren't raw. They're just minimally cooked. Quick oats are more thoroughly cooked. --Bryan |

You won't make me feel bad about it. The ice cream was already melting. After the time I spent shopping and the ridiculous amount of time I spend waiting in line I was not going to waste even more of my time to return everything. FWIW, it was the grocery division of a department store I had worked in and they had the same problems with long checkout lines. There were a lot of check out counters but most of them sat empty. I always figured that as long as a cashier was checking out merchandise they were harvesting money for the company. If they had twice as many cashiers and they only had one or two people in their lines they were still paying their way. Customers who have to wait a long time to check out go elsewhere. Stores rely on traffic patterns. Most of their staff are part time and are scheduled to work the known peak times. I most of our meats from two small family run groceries. At one of them there are 5 checkouts and usually at least three of them are manned. If there are more than a few people in line they bring someone up to open another. The other has only three checkouts. A lot of the time there is only one open, but as soon as it gets busy they open the second, and if there is still a line they open the third. It's a small place and sometimes there are a dozen people in line, but the line moved quickly. > Finally - just shop early. Never many people, full parking lots or long > lines. Some people have to work. |
