I'm not really into smoked food but I'd give those mussels a taste! My grill is a Weber Kettle charcoal grill. Not really conducive to slow smoking anything. I also wouldn't know where to find fresh black mussels to smoke. Jill |

I often just thaw and eat them. But they hold up well to further cooking if you're gentle. I often make a Thai red curry using them. Yeah, but those are psychopathic hunters. Most RFC'ers won't kill an animal, they'll let someone else do that. I don't see Ed and Jill go into the forest together and come out with a dead deer. |

At the checkout the carton was placed in a brown paper ice cream bag that was lined with foil help keep the ice cream cold on the way home. That doesn't address Dave's original complaint of having the ice cream start to melt *before* he could ever get to the checkout stand due to long lines and very few checkout lanes open. Jill |

You've not noticed Carol will join in a conversation right smack dab in the middle with of with no real knowledge of what's been discussed?? Then she will jump with either an attack or 'tip' that really makes no sense. Like her response to Dave about his melting ice cream. She tells him her mother would have taken it out of the car immediately and wrapped it. Gee, wasn't that a helpful statement that has nothing to do with his original statement? 🙄 |

I don't know what was so confusing about it. I did address the issue of the number of unmanned checkout counters and the ridiculously long lines and waits so long that the ice cream was melting enough that it was leaking. Not such soft, but melted and leaking. That is way too long to have to wait. |

I did notice, however, that cshenk gets very upset if you suggest that she might be wrong about something. Therefore I say: cshenk is always right, except when I am! |

We're not allowed to mention melting ice cream and what to do about it, except in the context of Dave Smith and his long checkout lines. |

She tends to come late to the discussion and then trim the relevant parts. Dave's ice cream was starting to melt before he got to the checkout to pay for it. Jill |

PITTSTON, Pa. — A shopping center in Luzerne County is now requiring everyone under the age of 18 to be accompanied by an adult. The Insalaco Shopping Center on Wyoming Avenue made the announcement on the West Pittston Facebook page. The post says they had to enact this policy due to "unacceptable" behaviors by some teenagers and children, including destruction of property, disrespect of customers, and other unsafe behaviors. The policy says that customers under 18 are still allowed to go into stores and restaurants to buy food and other items, but they must take it to go. My local news. That is the good news. |
