So Covid is fake? Had we done nothing that a million people in the US
would not have died?

I guess Trump was right when he said it would be gone in a few weeks but
the scientists kept it going, just for money. Thanks for bringing the
truth to our attention.

*Where* did I say Covid was "fake"... it certainly was *not*, but there was much "scientific"
mumbo - jumbo dispensed by "Our Betters" - which resulted in hare - brained policies that resulted in
great harm being done to many on a number of levels... including many excess deaths...

You can't cogently discuss issues without resorting to your "ORANGE MAN BAD!" mantra - I
*never* mentioned "Trump" above - *you* did...

Sorry, Ed, you lose... your argumenta ad hominem don't pass even the most *basic* intellectual scrutiny...

But seeing you're a decent chap, I won't hold it against you...

Not covered by Mega News so much but FLL got 24 inches of rain yesterday. The airport said it's reopening tomorrow.

These right-wing loonies live in an alternative reality of their own
making.

Blacks blame the existence of their 'food deserts' on racism. I guess racism caused the blacks to
shoplift, harass employees, rob employees, rape employees, commit armed robbery in the stores, create
havoc in the store, daily chimpouts in the store, carjack customers in the parking lot, steal from
parked cars near the store, rob customers in the parking lot, piss in the store, piss outside of the
store, shit on the sidewalk by the store, do drugs and leave used needles on the sidewalk near the
store, and aggressively panhandle customers who use the store.

I was thinking more along the lines of something you drink
once a day that doesn't taste like food of any kind. It's for
people on the go. It doesn't exist even if some people think
it does. I'm talking about a formula that supples all nutritional
needs. No taste. No time. Just down it and go.

I never eat strictly for nutrition. It has to taste good. But if
there were a magic bullet of some kind that provides not just
all nutrients and fiber, etc., but also makes the user feel as
good as he can possibly feel without getting 'high' and without
any come down. It will only last a day but there is no come down.
It is a product that makes a person feel their best - not high, just
their absolute best. If such a product existed I would not care if
it was human shit, I'd put down a glass of it once a day and be on
my way. In fact if there were an even better formula to be taken
only once a week I would not only eat human shit once a week,
I would do it on national TV. But it has to work as specified. I
would even give up eating if such a thing existed, with the proviso
that I can have ice cream and potato chips whenever I want.

I have lived with many cats. They tend to go for whatever they get
used to. You could bring them the best cat food in the world and
they wouldn't want it if they're accustomed to eating something else.
At least most cats. I am allergic and got rid of my cats 40 years ago.
But if I had them today I'd make food once a week for them - to be
eaten every day of course. I had a dog that had diarrhea once. Took
him to a vet and was told to boil hamburger meat and shredded wheat
cereal and it worked within a day. Probably not a bad meal all the way
around for a dog.

I certainly hope so. I hated work more than anyone I ever met.
But I was a good worker. It's easier to work than to pretend to work.
In my 20s and 40s I applied for SSI - mental issues, blah blah blah -
and of course they turned me down. I gave up. But then when I
turned 65 - ten years ago - I qualified for 'age related SSI' and
instantly applied. I'm living on $800 a month but my rent is
cheap - a HUD place - and I am content. Yeah, work. Anyone
who has to work is a slave. Most people work hard to make more
money so they can buy a more expensive set of chains. Same goes
for the car. I'd love to own one but can't afford to buy or maintain.
For most the car is nothing but a slave wagon - something to take
them to and from work. I like food and I like to eat. But really, even
with a not so active life if there were a formula that supplies ALL
nutrients and other benefits I might consider it. Even if it tastes
like shit. Even if it IS shit. If it really does the job. Just once a day.
Or for more money the once a week formula.

I never liked oatmeal hot. A few years ago I got into putting
'raw' oatmeal into kefir (any kind of yogurt will do) along with
cut up peaches and some raisins. I add just enough kefir. I
go by sight. Then I add blueberries and cut up bananas and
some frozen raspberries. I put it in the fridge overnight and
for the next two days I have breakfast. It's good stuff.

i've never had to deal with a sardine large enough
that had scales to eat. i didn't even know they got
big enough or scales that big to bother about...

hmmm, perhaps a different species than what i'm
thinking of that comes in the small tins?
