Why didn't they hire a cook?!

They have chosen this life style so if they whine they have no free time
they get no sympathy from me. Nothing wrong with their choices but it is
their choice.

Yep, maid service and lawn services but once again their lifestyle choice.

If they have nannies and housekeepers, then why dond't they hire
cooks? My mother had a hoousekeeper and a cook who did the shopping
an most of the cooking.

When I was a kid, parents weren't nearly so busy. Neither was I. Heh.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that scenario, Janet.

I do pay someone to take care of my yard. I'm not a fan of yard work or
gardening. I do not pay someone to clean my house or prep and deliver
my meals.

I don't believe that I said anywhere that they whine.Your
interpretation of a life style you don't understand?/

Perhaps they wanted to do as much as they could. I don't understand
the negative reaction to people like this. I simply explained why
some people would use a meal service from time to time. I live in a
community full of busy people like this who want to retain as much
family time as they can without the intrusion of live in help.

I didn't say you said they whine but I've yet to see any couple/family
that gallop from place to place that don't whine over their lifestyle.
Usually it's fake whining for attention though.

Not my job to be judgemental but I will be. If you have a lifestyle
that requires your kids to be raised by the hired help, you should not
have them. Do the have to have that kinds of a lifestyle? No, it is
their choice. They are putting material things ahead of family.

Got some major thunderstorms rolling through here so grilling outside is
not an option. I do have a grill pan so I'll cook this hot Italian
sausage on the stovetop.

I've got six sausages, might add a couple of them to some seasoned
tomato sauce to serve over pasta.

I do hope the power doesn't go out.

Sounds good to me!

I hope you've got one of those spatter screens to go on top of your
pan. That's the only thing I hate about frying some things; that
grease can pop and land everywhere.

Wild cats like cougars and bobcats are extremely strong, muscular
animals. The jaws and teeth are nothing to sneer at. They certainly
aren't cats hanging out on the porch waiting for the next Chewy delivery. ;)

Well, ya know. First time in 94 years. That we know of.

I definitely need to know how to react if I encounter a 100 lb. wild cat.

They say it's stupid to shoot a leopard with a 30-06 even tho a 30-06 bullet would shoot all the way through the leopard lengthways.

BS!! Canned beans are pressure cooked to the consistency of PABLUM!

I like my beans to be a bit El Dente, or having a bit of bite to them. Not be mush!

I've been to the Chinatown in NYC often when I was much younger but
learned to steer clear of the restaurants where the Chinese people
eat, you won't be able to read the menu or even place your order
unless you can read and speak Chinese. I had a Chinese friend who
would interpret but to be honest very few of those authentic Chinese
dishes appealed to me, and the few I tried tasted nothing like the
American style Chinese foods. My Chinese friend didn't care much for
authentic Chinese food either, he prefered the Americanized versions.
Mostly when we went to Chinatown we window shopped and then a few
streets over was Little Italy and that's where we ate because there we
could get authentic Italian food that we both enjoyed... most Italian
restaurants in the US cook Americanized Italian dishes, not authentic
Italian food... even in Italy you won't find authentic Italian
restaurants in the touristy areas.
The dwarf has very likely never been to a Chinatown or eaten authentic
Chinese food... he finds those recipes on the net and then Tex-Mexs
them.
