I made some beef tomato which is a Hawaiian adaptation of a Cantonese dish. I'd like to use red or yellow peppers but they cost over twice the price than the lowly green bell pepper so no dice. OTOH, they pretty much taste the same to me. https://www.amazon.com/photos/shared/cnvW-caTT06uixBt4QYdkg.6JuzQG0GU2o2guiYah9fXt --- Can you give the recipe? |

Trying to twist everything as usual - no, I didn't go out to look for a child in Ontario but I also didn't resent that my phone buzzed. I am not suggesting it makes people go out and look but that it gives you pause for thought if you do see the child, it also more importantly, makes it much more difficult for the kidnapper. |

Commercial salad dressings are nearly as sweet as frosting. "Nobody likes dry vegetables"? WTF? I ate buckets of dry vegetables before crudites were "invented" in the 1970s. Cindy Hamilton |

RichD <r_delaney2001@yahoo.com>: Jun 10 09:41PM -0700 I've decided to climb on the zero trans fats bandwagon, as the evidence suggests they're lethal. Of course many others have done the same. Anyhow, I looked at a jar of peanut butter, the label reads "Trans fats: 0 grams". OK Then, the list of ingredients includes hydrogenated vegetable oil. What gives? -- Rich |

Partially hydrogenated is a trans fat. Fully hydrogenated is not. Also... When it comes to serving size, they will round down. A food could actually contain that which you want to avoid but a single serving has so little that they will round down to zero. Go by the ingredients and not what it says per serving. |
