Welcome back, John and thanks for the pics.
Keep em coming.

I do hope you got any painting done on your dormers
first. You don't want dumb-ass painters going on your
nice new roof after the work is done.

They probably do. Not until my 4th ferret did I learn much of
their language. Almost silent sounds and lots of gestures.

It would appear I have more curiosity than you.

If you were curious about it, it wouldn't be moot to you :)

I don't care to have honey plain (like on toast or biscuits)
but I do use it as an ingredient in some asian sauces.

May-BEE a ferret cam someday. That would be cool.

At one time in New England, lobster was prison food.
Now it's expensive food.

That's just "princess" talk. ;)

My standard breakfast for so many years = one cup of coffee.
Works well for me.

I make "feather soup" fairly often. :)

The fact that the conversion for people in Louisiana is bound to
be different from the conversion for people in Wyoming?

You probably should develop your own conversion chart for the
conditions in your kitchen.

Is that the one with Campbell's canned mushroom soup added?

The conditions in people's kitchens don't explain a 126-225 gram
difference. Unless some of those people live on other planets.

Yet you screwed up a pizza crust about a year or so ago.
Tell that to the real bread makers here. Graham and US Janet
to name a few.

For me, nothing worth showing off. Mostly vcr/dvd recorders and kitchen
stuff. Goodwill sells mason jars for about $0.15/ea which is a blazing
good deal.

I also find good dvd's and music cd's. Seldom it's the cd's.

I look forward to our thrift stores reopening here.

I do remember a school field trip to watch the play,
"Taming of the Shrew." On the way there, I was expecting
a play about a mouse-like creature. DOH!

They stream past Shakespeare plays at a few websites like PBS.

Gary, please tell me it was a free school field trip.

Since this has been mentioned here lately, I looked for and
bought a can yesterday.

It's called, "Hoppin' John with blackeye peas, peppers
and onions." Sounded a bit appealing, along with the
picture on the label.

Here, let me help:

"As far as I know, _I've_ never EATEN boiled peanuts....
But I have HEARD OF them long before this thread."

[All caps added for emphasis.]

Eating something and hearing about it are two different things.

You didn't say, but I conjecture that you put pickle brine in your
burgers (and other dishes).

Especially in the last few months. Many stupid videos made to
show how they are coping with the "stay at home" situation.

The information on the package. The manufacturer usually tells you what
1/4 C (or some volume measure) weighs. A little math will translate to
volume/weight called for in your recipe.

And, yes, according to various manufascturers 1 C of flour weigh
differently. There is no one correct weight for a cup of flour (I'm
guessing the size of the grind is the variable).
