Seems that you just indicated eating shell and all. "I can't help with your teeth. Yes, you can make boiled green (gotta be green, raw) peanuts in a crockpot. I'd do them on HIGH for at least 6 hours covered with water. Not sure if it will make those shells any easier on your teeth but they should be cooked until very soft. LOTS of salt! I'd use about 1/3 to even 1/2 cup of salt per 2 pounds of raw in the shell *green* peanuts. Then again, I like salt. :)" |

My dad fed it cut up worms! I don't know nothing about feeding no turtles or tortoises. My friend has a colony of them. They just congregate around his house. I suspect that there some kind of magnetic abnormality around his house. He feeds the tortoises the diet I described. I think he feeds the turtles pellet food. Oddly enough, the turtles have pretty good eyesight. They'll just jump in the water when they see me coming. === :)) |

Amazon has the best deal on spices/dried herbs, usually in restaurant sized containers... if you use a lot of peppercorns Amazon is the place to buy, and I find no difference in quality than from Penzeys. In fact Amazon's seems fresher and is packaged better; 1 1/3 pounds of white peppercorns comes in a rectangular plastic container. I save those rectangular plastic containers in various sizes, they take up less freezer space than cylinders. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=peppercorns+whole&crid=P9S7YL7S53CU&sprefix=peppercorns%2Cspecialty-aps-sns%2C190&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_11 Amazon beats your local pharmacy on OTC meds... Every house should be opened up at least twice a week to flush out old stale air. Viruses inside can and do multiply in comfy households that never open windows. That's why common flu and cold season is during the winter each year when it's cold and nobody opens windows or goes outside often. Fresh air is everyone's friend. Don't be stubborn. Notice that most of the covid deaths people in closed up retirement homes and even hospitals. Neither ever open windows and they all die like crazy. Be smart, open your windows. |

Neither ever open > windows and they all die like crazy. Be smart, open > your windows. that's just simple numbers, when people exhale, cough, sneeze, sing, etc. they are exhaling the virus too. the closer you are to an infected person the more virus particles you might breathe in. there is nothing magical going on (though i do find life rather facinating). songbird |

The suggestion has been to wear one if you cannot social distance. I prefer to keep the distance. This stupid old lady came out of the store with a mask on and headed directly toward me and stopped right in front of me and stopped about 2 feet from me. The she pulled down her mask, gave me a stupid smile and started into her speech about how she was wearing a mask to protect me and I should wear one to protect myself and other people. I snapped and told her she was fucking nuts to take off her mask and get in my face instead of keeping distance between us. Self righteous old twit. |

You should just wear one when inside stores or around others, Dave. It won't kill you to take that bit of protection yet it might kill you NOT to wear one. |

There is no hard data to show that they help, and the top people, including our federal chief medical officer has gone back and forth on the issue many times. The thing about this old lady was the combination of self righteousness and hypocrisy. She came on to me about how she was wearing her mask to protect me...... but then she had taken it off and invaded my space to get into my face about how what I was doing was wrong. As I said, the deal around here is that it is a good idea to wear a mask if you cannot social distance. I was socially distancing. I had even taken a circuitous route to avoid others, and then she walked right up to me and decided she should give me a lecture. Given my reaction, she will likely think twice about that in the future. |

That was her story to me, letting me know what a martyr she was to be wearing a mask to protect me..... except that she has violated my intentional and conscientious social distance, walked right up to me and then took off her mask to give me a lecture. That was complete self righteous idiocy. |
Sheldon Martin <penmart01@aol.com>: Jul 07 09:08AM -0400 >That's actually true. No solicitor papers or newspaper allowed >in a mailbox. Of course, in a keyed mailbox that couldn't >happen anyway. With country mailboxes solicitors are not supposed to deposit advertisments but they do and most every day. Country mailboxes are used for both mail delivery and for sending mail, that's why that flag is there, so the postal carrier will know to pick up. With packages that wont fit in a country mailbox it's up to the carrier, some will drop the package in a sheltered spot at your door, some will leave a notice in the box to pick up at the post office. A lot of postal rules are regional, up to the postmaster and based on population density. |
