My guess is German rice is rice boiled with sauerkraut. It's the Düsseldorf
treat!

You may have mine!

Right. I don't own it. They do. Even if I bought it, I don't own it. They
have rules. You can't stick things in mailboxes either. Like a note. Unless
it's for the postman.

I much prefer kimchi to sauerkraut.

Technically, we can both travel to and from Thailand, but few flights
available plus quarantine B.S and too many other hoops to jump
through. So, we're better off here for now, plus my wife may have to
stay longer until her marriage/partner visa is properly submitted.
It's been interesting to see how my wife has adapted to and embraced
the lifestyle here, even enjoying the winter.

Yes, all OK here thanks O. Other than all the covid restrictions, of
course. Hope you are also well.

She's doing better than me then. With the current temperatures here, I
wish we were in Darwin.

Yeah. I already know this isn't something I'd want on a regular basis,
but it IS something long been on my food bucket list.

Looks good, as usual. I notice that the cucumbers have about half the
peel removed.

Some people do not like the texture / taste of the peel. Some people are
okay with it. But why remove only half?

Maybe he's half okay with it.

My guess is that you're just plain clueless about the way the world works. My condolences.

$500, FIVE HUNDRED, 5-0-0, not 5 thousand.

Funny how one measly zero changes the values, doesn't it?

Inhale s.l.o.w.l.y., exhale, inhale deeply, hold for a second or two.
Now exhale fully and repeat as often as necessary.

Oops.. you are right. Another typo. I am bad enough at online editing
but I just picking up new glasses today. If it were $5000 a month he
might stand a chance of being able to call it an income. At $500 per
month it is just a money pit.

True that, but it probably doesn't make much difference in Kuthetopia.

Buy what you like. Eat what you like. I don't like clams.

Depends on the dish. I don't care much about presentation at home, just
about how it tastes.

I had a barbeque sandwich earlier so later on it will probably be a popsicle
or two here.

Actually, it is important. If he was cooking 4,000 strips of bacon a day
for a maximum crew of 300 that is 13 strips of bacon per person. Even if
every one of them was eating bacon, that is a hell of a lot of bacon.

However, cshenk has had her own credibility issues lately. A few days
ago she talked about Germany being one of the major rice consuming
countries of Europe, and then yesterday she talked about a friend from
a Fidonet group who was serving on a Canadian aircraft carrier. That was
interesting to hear, considering that Canada has not had an aircraft
carrier for 50 years.

The persimmons from our trees are as sweet as supermarket jelly/jam.
About the sweetest fruit I can think of.
